Across the country, farmers markets help encourage local farming as well as reducing your carbon footprint. By purchasing fruits, vegetables and other wares from local vendors, less gas is consumed to bring these products to the marketplace and you get the absolute freshest of ingredients. Luckily, Phoenix has its very own farmers market that takes place every Saturday in the downtown area (corner of Central and McKinley) from 8am-1pm.
