OK, maybe more along the lines of a major demolition, this post is concurrent with previous blogs Do You Wanna Shag, Baby? and From Pepto-Pink to Classic Cool . This Westwood, CA bungalow went through a major overhaul in the past few weeks and this is definitely one of the BEST rooms of the transformation - the now eat-in kitchen.

This Interior Design project is in conjunction with a previous blog, From Pepto Pink to Classic Cool. This is the main living room of the Westwood, CA 1950's Bungalow complete with original, 3″ (although very matted down) shag carpeting. The owners wouldn't even consider bringing their young toddler into the house until this was gone for fear of what "was living" in the carpeting. But what these first time home buyers COULD see was the home's potential. GREAT coffered ceilings, huge windows, large living space.

Platinum Home Staging, Inc. was called in by the Listing Realtor to assist in Staging this flip-home in the Lake Balboa area of the San Fernando Valley, CA. Just three short weeks ago, it looked like this:
Our Staging Professionals assisted in choosing paint colors, flooring options, tile for the bathrooms, addition of windows, recessed lighting & fixture placement as well as the addition of architectural features... Here are the results, which made us kind of "Sing the Blues", but the call we received today from the Listing Realtor and Developer were "Singing Our Praises."

Pepto-Pink to Classic Cool: a Bathroom Remodel - 12/13/09 12:21 AM
To say that Platinum Home Staging, Inc. does "home staging" is self explanatory, but our Design Team can also assist in remodels and upgrades, finishes, space planning as well as Interior Decor. This is the home of a young couple who were first time home buyers and bought a classic 1950's bungalow in Westwood, CA. It was SO classic that it had 40 year old shag carpeting and even the original pepto-pink "master" bath tile with raspberry trim.
