Something is always broken @ my home

Something is ALWAYS broken at my home!
Seems as if something is always breaking at my home and my husband George is NOT handy. The list: closet doors off in one daughter's bedroom, bathroom door removed from hinges (don't ask how), another two doors are falling off the hinges - I try to keep a list and call the handyman with a tally (he charges by the hour) - all done - let's see how long it lasts until something else breaks... and I didn't even discuss what happened when the toilet tank overflowed.

Thankfully don't have last weekends' 100+ temperatures.

Woke up, made coffee then: read the newspaper, fed the dogs (German Shepherd, Papillion and Chihuahua) talked to my mom, aunt and girlfriend, answered emails, made my daughters breakfast (which was great for the three of us to sit and visit before they take off here and there). Husband, George out early to play golf.

Finished negotiating my buyer's inspection issues.

Completed two online course sections for Real Estate Webographer Certification (my calls were in voice mail while I took the course, but I have a message light that lights up when I receive a message). Returned calls in between sections.

Searched the multiple listing service for clients and to determine if there is any new competition to be concerned with in regards to my listings. Made appropriate calls and emails after mls search.
Ran HouseCall on TrendMicro's website- some kind of virus or something is slowing down my computer.

Paid more bills

Still have one home to show, which is today's only showing appointment for my homebuyers.

Dinner @ Pasadena's Ruth's Chris Steakhouse @ 6:45 with good friends, that I haven't seen in over a month
Update on La Canada's Market Conditions

Currently there are 80 homes available in La Canada (91011 zip code) ranging in price from $647,000 - $6,195,000; averaging 58 days on the market. 9 homes are available under $1,000,000.

Homes in move in condition and those "staged for sale" continue to sell within a week and often in multiple counter offer situations.

SELLERS TIPS: Stage your home for sale, Phyllis Harb offers the complimentary services of a professional home stager to assist you in preparing your home for sale.

BUYERS TIPS: Flexibility: escrow period, possible rent backs, etc. Your flexibility often is as important to the seller as the offered price. Of course homebuyers should be pre-qualified and the prequalification letter as well as evidence of your down payment should be submitted with your offer.

Cosmetic fixers may be the best opportunity for buyers to obtain a "deal". Cosmetic fixers are homes that offer updated major systems (roof, central air, etc.) but have unappealing flooring, wallpaper, etc.

ZIP Code: 91011

Location Characteristics: A delightful suburb with a rural flair, La Canada is renowned for its award winning schools, low crime rates and "small town" atmosphere. Numerous residents ride their horses through the streets and some of them even stable their horses at home. The city's general plan is to maintain and enhance the city's character as a low density, wooded, hillside residential community. There are several distinct neighborhoods: "La Canada Flintridge" (South of Foothill Blvd.), "Sagebrush" (West of Rosebank; NOT in the La Canada school district), "Meadow Grove" (South of Foothill & East of Gould) and "Deodars" upper La Canada, not too hilly - a very wooded and serene neighborhood.
