Paint Color IS So Important When Selling Your Home! - 01/20/09 06:37 AM
I will be the first to admit that I LOVE BOLD COLOR! I am a cedar chest red and Gold kind of girl! While these colors are rich and beautiful, they are not appropriate when you are selling your home.
I remember, years ago, my sister in law and I went to look at model homes. The models were decorated beautifully and each home had a different color scheme. The largest and what I thought to be the most beautiful home and layout was decorated in blues, terracotta and pale yellows. GORGEOUS, gleaming dark oak floors and off white cabinetry throughout.

With the right scale furniture this room WORKS!! When we were called in to give an estimate on this house, the builders were concerned about how small the LR was and what we would be able to do with it. They wanted a buyer to see this room as a sitting room that would also feel warm and welcoming.
Once we chose the colors for the room (Blondewood 1067 BM), I immediately went to work to find the right LOVESEAT, TABLES and CHAIR that would compliment the space while showing a buyer that you can fit enough seating to entertain … (13 comments)
