home stager in nj: Staging Homes within Your Budget!! - 02/06/10 02:11 AM
When selling your home it is important to remember that your tastes and ideas of how your home should be shown will always be very different from the professional opinion of a home staging expert.
LR BEFORE....This home was newly remodeled but the seller was afraid that putting furniture in the room would make the space seem smaller. He staged the room with artwork and a small table which does nothing to enhance this space and welcome buyers in.

LR AFTER...Budget was a problem with the seller so we told him items we would need and he BORROWED … (10 comments)

home stager in nj: Condo, Condo Once Considered Small, Has Proved it's Grandeur to One and All! - 05/22/09 11:31 AM
We had the best time staging this fabulous condo in Bayonne today. The weather was great, the boats were sailing by and the staging plan was coming together without a hitch. Not always the case as many of you may know.
This condo had an open floor plan, which for many buyers is almost impossible for them to imagine how to set up their furniture. Tying in the paint colors and white cabinets in kitchen may also have been presenting a problem to buyers.
The Team of ReStyled to Sell accepted the challenge and here are the results!
The LR/DR/Kitchen … (15 comments)

home stager in nj: So Why Hasn't Your House Sold Yet?? - 05/17/08 02:51 AM
Time and time again when I am doing a walk through consultation with my clients I am always stressing the fact to them that if I have to ask what this room's purpose is, then for sure buyer's do NOT know how to set up their furniture.
I am especially finding this to be true with the larger homes that builders are building today. Too many rooms, with too many openings into other rooms makes it difficult for a buyer to imagine how to set up their furnishings. But it does not always need to be a large, builders home that … (14 comments)

home stager in nj: Bachelor Bedrooms Need to Be Transformed - 03/27/08 01:17 AM
There are many houses on today's market for sale and some are too cluttered while other are too sparse. Some appeal to only woman while some appeal to only men. So what's the role of a home stager?
First we must first make sense of the space. If there are elements in the room that have not made sense to past potential buyers then we must show them how to decorate around them or how to enhance or downplay it. We are to show off the home's selling features. We are not there to show off the sellers furniture or decor.

home stager in nj: Staging Can Be Simple with the Same Dramatic Results! - 03/19/08 11:15 PM
As the popularity of HGTV grows and more and more sellers are being educated on the value of staging their homes for sale I have found that even simple changes can make a dramatic difference. Sellers know they need to do something, but most lack the decorating gene. That is where the professional services of a home stager comes in.
In this house the client had lovely furniture, but the draperies were heavy and dark. The walls were stark white and had no focal point.  With a few  changes the room went from harsh to soft, comforting and welcoming..

home stager in nj: When Staging A Home, Always Have a Plan B - 10/10/07 03:03 PM
Today I staged a large home in Flemington, NJ. This was a unique situation as it was an occupied home with a few areas that needed rental furniture. The homeowner had really beautiful things and the colors on the wall were perfect.
This home had some neat features like a dual sided wall fireplace that looked into the master bedroom and master bathroom. The master bedroom also had a master suite that is perfect for couples to retreat to at night to unwind or for some early morning coffee before they begin their day.
When I initially submitted my proposal and chose furniture … (9 comments)

home stager in nj: SELLERS, LISTEN TO YOUR HOME STAGER and SELL THAT HOUSE!! - 08/16/07 11:31 PM
When you are ready to sell your home, your home must first become a "Product" to sell and market. Turning it back into just a HOUSE  is exactly what a Professional Home Stager will need to do so your realtor can successfully market it.
Here is a scenario to think about...When you trade in your used car in order to purchase a new one, the first thing the car sales man will review is the book value and trade in value of the car. Once you each agree on a price, you the customer, once owner of your pride and joy, will relinquish … (2 comments)
