My kids all wanted to help me write this article on their first day of school .......... The Woodlands, Texas Schools are part of CISD, Conroe School District ... Powell Elementary in The Village Cochrans Crossing, Mitchell Intermediate in Alden Bridge and McCullough (the largest Jr High in Texas) located in Panther Creek ... First Day of School.  I had all of my children in private school until last year.  I chose a specific neighborhood in The Woodlands because of the Exemplary School Status!  I was nervous at first about the education that they would recieve and I have been overwhelmingly impressed with … (16 comments)

The Conroe Independent School District's new South County sports complex made its public debut Aug. 24 with a community open house for residents to explore the natatorium and Woodforest National Bank Stadium.
 
This $40-million project is ready to switch on the stadium floodlights and open the 62-meter pool for the new school year.  Visitor's were given a chance to tour the facility from 3-5 PM.
The district began construction on the facility early last year on the plot of land behind the Portofino shopping center on David Memorial Drive in Shenandoah.

Declining property sales tempered by strong single-family home average and median pricing prevailed across the greater Houston area for the eleventh consecutive month in July, according to statistics released by the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR). Sales of single-family homes slid 12.0 percent on a year over year basis - a smaller decline than the market has experienced in the past two months.
