The annual free concerts start in October in Beardsley Park in Sun City West. It will start with four Sunday Concerts on consecutive weekends.The gates will be open at 5 p.m. for the 7 p.m. start of concert in Sun City West. I was showing Sun City West properties yesterday. We got hungry and needed to stop for a bite to eat.
I took my clients to the Garden Café in Sun City West. One of my clients had the soup of the day, chicken noodle and the other had a burger. I had half a sandwich and a cup of soup.
The meal arrived quickly and was delicious. My client was very impressed. This is a very small restaurant with quality food.

This is the perfect light lunch . . . - 08/27/12 10:35 AM
I found the reicpe and just love it:
4 large romaine lettuce leaves
1 cup julienned jicama
1 cup julienned carrots
1/2 cup julienned red bell pepper
1/2 cup julienned zucchini
1 avocado, peeled and cut into strips
1/2 mint, chopped
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
Thai peanut sauce of Asian Dressing
Lay lettuce leaf flat and fill with vegetables.
Sprinkle herbs on top.
Roll each leaf and dip into sauce
Yum!

Sun City Festival Homes for Sale; Work with the offer - 08/26/12 12:00 PM
I have a Sun City Festival Property for sale. We just received an offer on this Sun City Festival property. The client didn’t feel it is an acceptable offer, she doesn't even want to counter.. You know the drill; she doesn't want to give the house away. This is a reasonable offer that I think she should consider countering.
The problem she does not see the reality of the comps. They house most likely will not appraise for the amount she wants for it. If she does not take this reasonable offer she will probably have to hold on to … (4 comments)

We have two Standard Poodles, Cooper is our chocolate male and Hannah is our white female. When I come home Hannah will always bring me a toy, her small pink poodle, in her mouth. Cooper just gets excited. He has a large stuffed bear that is his favorite and he lays on it.
Yesterday, I came home to have Hannah bring me Coopers bear. Let me just add, Mr. Cooper was not happy. He barked and pitched a little fit. Hannah was very pleased with herself.

The Surprise stadium will be hosting a Music Festival and Classic Car show. This will be held in the Surprise Stadium September 29, 2012. Ticket prices range from $20 - $40 for this event.
The featured Country recording star will be Tracy Lawrence. Nancy Perry Productions will be showcasing at least 100 Classic Cars for all to see.

Can changing your address change your life?I recently sold a home, in an Arizona Retirement Community, to a couple about 10 months ago. They were originally from North Dakota.
When they came here they purchased a home in a family community approximately 6 years ago. They had moved from a small town and wanted to have a new home. My favorite accessory in my earlier days was possibly a handbag with someone else’s name on it.
Today, it is my pink tool kit a friend gave to me years ago. I needed a screwdriver to fix something at a friend’s house and I knew exactly where to find it.

Yesterday I had a call from a client we sold a house to this year. She and her husband purchased a home in Corte Bella.
Susan was calling to ask for copies of her HUD statement and other portions of the transaction. We keep copies of everything on our computer so these items were easy to find.
The reason she was calling is because she just lost her husband two weeks ago, due to an ailment, and the accountant needed it. She thanked me for the quick response. It was one less thing she had to deal with.

Favorite dinner for a a warm summer evening is a chilled cucumber soup - 08/12/12 04:28 PM
It has been a warm day here again. Anticipating this, I made my favorite chilled soup this morning, Cucumber and dill.
Here is the recipe:
4 cucumbers, peeled and chopped
1 cup water
½ cup chopped yellow onion
¼ tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. corn starch
2 Tbsp. water
2 cups chicken stock
1 Bay leaf
Finely chopped dill
Sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
Put cucumbers, onions, salt and 1 cup of water into a saucepan and cover on low. Cook until cucumbers are soft. Place them in a blender until smooth.

When my friend, Mark Taylor, suggested I join Active Rain I was skeptical. He told me that it would help me blog, I had never blogged before, and meet some great people. Well, the adventure started seven months ago!

L’Auberge de Sedona is my favorite destination in Sedona Arizona. It is conventionally located only 2 hours away from Sun City West.
After you leave highway 17, at exit 298, your entire view changes. The beautiful Red Rocks come into view and the show begins.
When you turn right, down the driveway, to the entrance of L’Auberge de Sedona your world changes. The valet meets you at the front entrance. Going thru the lobby to the outdoor patio area is breathtaking.

Yesterday was a warm day here, Sun City West Arizona, at 115 degrees. When it hits that number we go north.
It is a picturesque drive to Sedona that I never tire of. Sun City West is approximately 2 hours to beautiful Sedona. On the way there are some interesting signs along the highway, as you can see!
Sun City West is wonderful, but it pales in comparison to breathtaking Sedona.

As you pass by some of our golf courses you may notice the beautiful white birds that grace the lakes on our courses. Our swans contribute to the beauty of our surroundings and have even been the subject of a children's book written by one of our residents.
