I was racking my brain to think what other job exists where this type of activity takes place. You could make a case for professional development and specific career knowledge for doctors, lawyers, accountants, and architects. But even they are dependent on sales, marketing, or some form of practice development in order to … (3 comments)

Where is the market heading.  Now Bank of America has the largest market share.  I guess they really put their money where their mouth is.  Now there are talks about JP Morgan Chase making a play to buy WaMu.  Why all of a sudden are these major takeovers happening in out time of desparir? In my opinion it looks like these major banks were looking to strike while the iron is hot.  Does this mean they are hopeful that their large investments will be soon paying off.  do … (0 comments)

More words of wisdom - 01/03/08 02:45 PM
"He who rushes ahead doesn't go far."-- Lao-Tzu (~500 B.C.E), Tao Te Ching
Consider This:
The benefit of rushing is largely an illusion. The advantage it provides in the short term pales in comparison to the long term damage it can do. Rushing undermines critical thinking, dialogue, & learning processes. If unchecked for too long, it significantly decreases individual and organizational capacity to make smart decisions. It becomes OK not to think things through.
A distinction to look at is rushing vs. moving quickly. When someone rushes, they shortchange processes. When someone moves quickly, they follow processes - with speed. On the surface, … (1 comments)

Did you know??? - 01/02/08 12:38 PM
How many of these did you know about?   A sealed envelope - Put in the freezer for a few hours, then slide a knife under the flap. The envelope can then be resealed. (hmmmmmm...) ============================================ Use Empty toilet paper roll to store appliance cords. It keeps them neat and you can write on the roll what appliance it belongs to. =================================================   For icy door steps in freezing temperatures: get warm water and put Dawn dishwashing liquid in it. Pour it all over the steps. They won't refreeze (wish I had known this for the last 40 years!) ================================================= To … (4 comments)

Words Of Wisdom.... - 01/02/08 12:25 PM
Each morning in Africa the sun comes up, and the Gazelle awakes with the knowledge that he must run faster than the fastest Lion or he will be killed. The Lion also wakes up with the knowledge that he must run faster than the slowest Gazelle or he will starve to death.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO---- It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle, when the sun comes up, you better be running!!!!!
