Will the wind down of Fannie and Freddie lead to costlier loans? - 08/17/12 01:26 PM
Hello all: I hope you're well. We are sweltering today with temps. in the mid-90's!
I was reading on Yahoo Finance this morning that the government is planning the wind down of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac quicker that it intended. For those of you who are uninitiated Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are the giant loan guarantors that were taken over by the government back in 2008 during the financial crisis.
There is speculation that the wind down of Fannie and Freddie will lead to higher interest rates. That may be true although I believe a higher rate environment is … (6 comments)

Melakwa Lake is beautiful! - 08/13/12 03:49 PM
Hi all: I went hiking yesterday at Melakwa Lake yesterday with a friend. It was beautiful. The hike is a little strenuous in places going up but here is the byproduct. Enjoy the view. I feel very fortunate to live in the Pacific Northwest. The real estate up there is nonexistent but isn't that the way it's supposed to be? Have an awesome day!

Hi all: I hope you're well. I just returned from a little bit of heaven. Priest Lake Idaho! If you're ever looking to get away this is the perfect place. Long known as a family vacation spot, Priest Lake is located two hours north of Spokane, WA.
