Many times when Staging we are faced with bathrooms that are either outdated or simply in bad shape. And many of these times the budget dictates that replacement is not an option. We have had great success with a company called Bathcrest as a solution to these circumstances. They offer acrylic bath and shower liners as well as wall surrounds. But, where we have used them mostly is for refinishing or re-glazing ceramic tiles, tub, sink, countertops and toilet resurfacing. We recently acted as Project Managers for an overhaul of an original 50's home in Studio City, CA. And we mean original!! Pink & green bathroom tiles, original appliances, original hardwood floors covered by carpet that was falling apart! Everything was updated from the front curb to the back fence. The original owner was the late Al Viola, premier jazz guitarist who played with Frank Sinatra for many years. These are spandex, formfitting slipcovers that fit right over your existing lampshade. And they're machine washable! Great for Staging inventories that get moved and touched so often. Another idea would be to take thrift store lamps and update them with these. You'll have a one-of-a-kind original! Here is the 2nd installment of before and after pictures of a vacant home that Stage It In A Day! recently completed. This home had a very challenging floor plan and several really colorful rooms! All in all, we were happy with the turnout and the realtor told us we "targeted the perfect client for this property". Nice! MASTER BEDROOM
