Hang out time Downtown Lakeland near Munn Park, Joker Marchant (Tiger Town), Dixieland and Lake Mirror are the places to be this weekend. Check out the lineup of family events! April 5 - First Friday and it is the event of the Motorcycle Mania filled with many motorcycle on display. I love this time of year the beginning of March, spring is in the air and many events are happening here in Lakeland Florida. I will highlight here my favorite events taking place right now or in the next couple of weeks.
March 1 - First Friday and it is the 4th annual event of the Skyward Festival filled with aviation thrills family style. This is a free event that takes place downtown Lakeland in and around Munn Park. It is one of the most visited free First Friday event (2 comments)
The Polk Theater in Lakeland FL presents one of the Christmas favorite - The Florida Dance Theatre's production of "The Nutcracker" Celebrate the season with this classic holiday event on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are $15, $20 or $25. Some of the favorite scenes will surely warm your heart: Drosselmeyer's arrival and distribution of presence Journey through the Snow Arrival of Clara and the Nutcracker Prince Dance of the Clowns, and of course the all time favorite Sugar Plum Fairy This is a great family (9 comments)

Free events are happening and a couple of them I want to mention which will take place at the Main Library located at 100 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland FL. Saturday December 15th from 10:00 a.m. - Noon, a Santa's Workshop takes place where children can take home a free holiday craft. This is a fun packed event for kids who love arts and crafts. Best of all – it’s free! Annual Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival – Lakeland FL In it’s 13th year, this is one of my favorite events drawing a crowd of about 35,000 people wandering around Lake Mirror viewing a field of about 600 vehicles. Lakeland FL - Things To Do in September With schools back in session and hopefully the summer heat starting to subside there are things to do around Lakeland, Florida. Events for the whole family including the dogs! Some of the special events happening in Lakeland include the Downtown Farmers Curb Market, First Fridays, and the Cardboard Boat Challenge. Of course if you are looking for something to do on a weekly basis there are the numerous High School Football teams which would love support from their community every Friday night. Lakeland FL Harrison School for the Arts - Annual Musical, "White Christmas" Growing up there was not a Christmas that had gone by where my family and I sat in front of our black and white television set watching Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen in Irving Berlin's 1954 movie classic, "White Christmas" singing one of my favorite songs, White Christmas. Rehearsals are underway for the upcoming musical based on one of the beloved timeless films of "White Christmas". These talented 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade Lakeland Florida Harrison School for the Arts students will, I'm sure, give it their all for this (3 comments)
