hurricane season: Is a hurricane on the horizon? - 06/15/10 10:41 AM

It's been a while since we've had a decent hurricane and I feel like we are due. This month, we crossed the threshold into hurricane season and it will continue until the end of November. I never thought that our small state would have been flooded like it was two months ago. Let's not be naive about the devastating effects a hurricane can have on our local areas. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forcasters say an active to extremely active hurricane season is expected for the Atlantic Basin this year.
