In June of 2007 I had the pleasure of meeting Laurie Manny face to face (also Irina Netchaev, Mana Tulberg, Tiza Major-Posner, Jeff Turner, Brian Brady, Kaye Thomas, Kelly Kilpatrick and more) at the Long Beach Active Rain Party; I don't live near Long Beach but was touring colleges in SoCal with my daughter, so snuck out for an evening of fun - one I will always treasure. A year ago, about a dozen of us Project Blogger Apprentices were typing our fingers off in a fast paced, intense, super-scrutinized contest. We were all working hard and were more than a little stressed. I thought it might be interesting to do a retrospective on the experience and to see how things are going for all the apprentices now, a year later. Those of you who followed Project Blogger knew that one of my frustrations was that during the contest, I was writing my little heart out but Google couldn't find me. There was almost an allergic reaction between Google and Real Town, the platform where I've been writing my Live In Los Gatos blog.Well, I have good news to report. Joe, Fran, Mary, Tisza, Drew, Kevin and Ardell wait to see who will be announced as the winning team for Project Blogger. The Active Rain guys brought out a huge check, shrouded in cardboard, and showed the check to the audience before showing it to us....

July 31st is coming up fast and I know that I'll be seeing several of you at Bloggers Connect on August 1st and the reception the night before on July 31st. I'm thinking we should do some sort of dinner after the reception on July 31st. Months ago, I told my real estate coach, Joeann Fossland, that I really wanted to learn how to blog effectively for real estate. As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for! Seriously, I could not be happier. By hook and by crook, Joeann introduced me to Frances Flynn Thorsen.
