Pat Kitano, Dustin Luther, Robbin Tippons, Aneil Dash were on the panel for Blogs and Social Networking (host was Jessica Swesey from Inman)Joe, Fran, Mary, Tisza, Drew, Kevin and Ardell wait to see who will be announced as the winning team for Project Blogger. The Active Rain guys brought out a huge check, shrouded in cardboard, and showed the check to the audience before showing it to us....The audience saw right away that the check for $5000 was made out to CARE. … (13 comments)

It was sooo cool to finally meet Frances Flynn Thorsen ("Fran"), who'd been mentoring me (Mary Pope-Handy) in Project Blogger for weeks and weeks.Paul Chaney (mentor to Ines Hegedus-Garcia) and David G from Zillow at The Thirsty Bear in SF.Chad Huck from C21 Hecht Realty in Mooresville, North Carolina and Mario Pinedo of Intero Real Estate Services (same company where I hang my license!) in Cupertino.Mingling isn't this blogger's strongest suit, but at Beer and Bloggers (or was it Bloggers and Beer?) it was "close knit" and I did meet a lot of very wonderful folks, including this daughter-mom team (Michelle … (23 comments)

As it has been said several times, in many ways, everyone who's participated in Project Blogger is "a winner". We've all learned a ton, made friends here, and grown as people and as bloggers. My Live in Los Gatos Blog is vastly improved over where it was on April 1st of this year. It's been tough for us and also for the people who have been running it. In another week, it really will be over because then the official by-the-books winner will be announced at Blogger's Connect in San Francisco. When Frances Flynn Thorsen and I first connected about Project Blogger, she asked me if I wouldn't like to do a blog on Haunted Real Estate since I already had a web page devoted to that topic. I really wasn't ready to do that - I just collected the stories. "How about one on Los Gatos, my town, instead? Or on Silicon Valley?" I offered, since I had two flimsy blogs, one on each topic, already. She said Los Gatos was a good sized topic and town, so we settled on that.
