princeton nj real estate blog: You are cordially invited - 100th post celebration! - 12/21/07 06:17 AM
Princeton real estate blog, I can say without being overly dramatic, has changed my life quite a bit and quietly turned into a passion. What a difference a few months makes. In August the country of Active Rain, with all its wonderful inhabitants, existed without me ever knowing about it. It was completely off my map, and was quite honestly found by chance. I can’t even think about what it would be like now without it. Back in August the word blogging was not something I could have provided a definition for, although I set up one on Blogger. It was my

princeton nj real estate blog: Princeton NJ real estate questions? Should you ask real estate agent? - 12/15/07 08:39 AM
What is my house worth in Princeton? What is my house worth in Hopewell? Should I sell now or wait till spring? Where is the real estate market going? I have yet to meet a person who is not interested in real estate. We are talking about home values at cocktail parties, go to the neighbors' open houses, look for home values on Trulia. Why is that? In his book "House Lust: American's Obsession with Our Homes" - Daniel McGinn (Doubleday, 2007) suggests that the reason is our lack of community and isolation. To me the answer is the fact that

princeton nj real estate blog: Is there truth in real estate marketing ? - 12/08/07 12:25 PM
How can you tell what’s truth in the Princeton real estate marketing or for that matter any marketing at all? Did you ever try the detergents that promise to take all the stains out, or those miracle creams that erase the wrinkles in front of your eyes? Did you ever write or respond to a personal ad? I was writing this post, when in the middle of it I read the excellent post by Jeff Dowler, which if you didn’t read it yet, make sure you do. His topic in some way related to mine. Jeff Belonger also wrote an interesting

princeton nj real estate blog: What kind of blog is best for you? - 12/06/07 07:10 PM
I am not sure that I totally subscribe to the notion that real estate bloging is like a diary or day in the life of… A diary to me implies something personal and private and not for sharing. I actually never had a diary probably because I never felt like keeping secrets. If something is on my mind in important personal matters, the important people in my life know all about it. I just can’t keep things bottled up. I heard that this may not be the smartest thing in the world to do and that such “sharing” does not always

princeton nj real estate blog: Why Princeton Real Estate Blog is read in China? - 12/05/07 03:49 PM
Why people form different countries read my blog which is primarily oriented for people who are interested in Princeton real estate, homes for sale in the Princeton area, and Princeton home prices and market conditions? It is interesting to think about what people in countries like Hungary, Turkey, Australia, and China find interesting in my Princeton real estate blog. Are they international buyers interested in investing in Princeton area real estate? I don’t have the definite answer, but my guess is that real estate investment is not the reason. Looking at the searches it seems that the topic of big interest

princeton nj real estate blog: How to interview a real estate agent? - 11/29/07 12:43 AM
Many prospective home sellers and buyers are already thinking ahead to the spring season. They are thinking of how to find the right real estate agent to help them sell or buy their home? What is the information they need to make the right decision?Understanding if a professional is the right one for the job has never been an easy task. Having spend many years in corporate management and consulting I interviewed hundreds of job candidates, I taught how to conduct effective interviews and helped many colleagues and friends prepare their resumes and interview techniques. I was also hired by companies

princeton nj real estate blog: Are real estate buyers/sellers looking for answers in the right places? - 11/20/07 03:31 PM
Are you looking for homes for sale, have questions about selling or want to know the real estate market conditions in Princeton Junction/West Windsor, Princeton, Hopewell and Montgomery? Be smart about where you are looking for answers. Let me share a story. I was wondering the Internet and came across a question from a Princeton Junction seller on Trulia Voices. The question was whether to put his townhouse on the market now or wait till the spring 08. The answers were interesting: the out of state agent had an answer about affordability, the out of the immediate area agent said- wait till

princeton nj real estate blog: Where to find answers to Princeton NJ real estate questions? - 11/07/07 06:20 PM
Home buyers and sellers in Princeton, Montgomery, West Windsor, Hopewell, Lawrenceville New Jersey and elsewhere in the country can now get the real answers and story on what’s going on in the real estate market and in their community. They can find these answers in the blogs. How is the information in a blog different from what gets delivered by the news media or by the various web-sites dedicated to real estate? One way to think of the blogs is as a way to get into the head of those who write them and see what they see. Did you notice that

princeton nj real estate blog: This mommy misses her boy - 11/07/07 08:40 AM
Don’t worry. Everyone is OK. When I usually go by my kids’ rooms after they are gone to school, what goes through my head is: “what a mess”. This morning I passed by my son’s room –it was clean, and I had a nut in my stomach. My son went to Biloxi with a youth religious group to help with rebuilding there. He will only be gone for 5 days, but the thought of not seeing him today after school produced the separation anxiety. I know he is a big boy, and he has been away before, and yet…When he first

princeton nj real estate blog: Princeton real estate blog - what would you like to read? - 09/16/07 03:34 PM
To provide relevant information to my readers I need to understand what issues are on their minds. Princeton real estate blog has two audiences: people who are interested in Princeton Real Estate and my AR colleagues who want to stay on top of their game through this forum. As a real estate professional it is relatively easy for us to come up with content interesting to others in the profession. But what does the public in general want to learn from us? Marketers use Focus groups to get a handle on the consumer wants. I asked one person in my Focus
