The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership which is an Ontario government agency publishes a fall colours leaf report on Tuesdays and Fridays during the beautiful fall colour season each year.
The fall colours report is published at www.ontariotravel.net.

In general, the 13% harmonized sales tax ("HST") applies on real estate commissions charged by real estate brokerages located in Ontario effective July 1, 2010.
Prior to July 1, 2010, the 5% goods and services tax ("GST") applied to the real estate commissions.  For transactions that straddle July 1, 2010, special transition rules apply such that part of the real estate commission may be subject to GST and/or HST.

In acccordance with the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002 and associated regulations, Ontario real estate brokers are required to carry errors and omissions ("E&O") insurance as a condition of maintaining a real estate broker licence in Ontario.
The Real Estate Council of Ontario ("RECO"), which is the regulator of real estate brokers in Ontario, is responsible for the administration of the E&O insurance policies, collection of premiums, selection of the insurance company and other activities.  For some functions, RECO outsources the functions to qualified third parties.

On September 7, 2010, Canada Revenue Agency ("CRA") announced prescribed interest rates that will apply to amounts owned to CRA and to amounts owed by CRA to individuals and corporations.  The rates that were announced will apply to the period October 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010.  Interest rates are calculated quarterly in accordance with relevant legislation.
