York Durham Line is closed to through traffic from Steeles Avenue East / Taunton Road West to slightly south of 14th Avenue from September 6, 2011 to December 23, 2011. 
To travel north or south, you will need to detour via Altona Road to the east in Pickering or Nineth Line to the west in Markham.
You will NOT be able to use Reesor Road because it is closed between Steeles Avenue East and 14th Avenue throughout the period of closure for the York Durham Line.

Are there any Dog Off Leash Areas in Markham?
Markham's by-laws require that all pets must be leashed in Markham parks except in off leash areas.
Markham has a permanent leash-free dog area at the northwest corner of Miller Avenue and Rodick Road which are in the Woodbine Avenue and Highway 7 area.
You can also apply to establish a permanent Dog Off Leash Area by following the guidelines and completing the application.
There are rules of conduct for the dog off leash area.
