toronto canada: New City of Toronto Sign By-law - 10/24/10 03:33 PM
New City of Toronto Sign By-law
Effective April 6, 2010, the City of Toronto municipal council passed a new sign by-law.  The sign by-law harmonized the six previous sign by-laws that existed for the five cities (Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke and York) and one borough (East York) that amalgamated together into the City of Toronto back in 1997.  Thus, one sign by-law will apply across the amalgamated City of Toronto rather than six different by-laws for different parts of the City of Toronto.
Details about the new sign by-law are available at www.toronto.ca/signbylawproject/index.htm
