Not just a little bit of money, actually a GREAT deal!  The thought just clicked as I was signing off, vowing to get OUT and do what I've been putting off.  Get OUT to enjoy this weather I've been waiting so long for!

A Homeowner's "Love Story" - 03/29/07 12:16 AM
Whenever I go to someone's home, I ask them if they know anything about the history of the house.  This is a story that a client told me not long ago and I thought it was worth sharing:
A married couple were looking for a home.  They each had different priorities on what were important to them as is the usual case.  For the wife, it was a big kitchen because she loved to cook.  The husband HAD to have a garage.  Usual things that a couple are likely to be looking for.

Long Ago Long Island, New York--Revisit the Year 1961 - 03/23/07 10:25 PM
Just several weeks ago I was fortunate to have been sent some pictures of Wantagh, Long Island, New York; it's the town I was raised in.  My memories of growing up here are wonderful and the pictures reminded me of a long ago time there.  When traffic wasn't crazy, there was room to BREATHE, the doors weren't locked and all the neighbors not only knew each other, but got together once a week for card parties and barbeques!

A Palette Of Colors: Before and After pictures that come Alive with Color! - 03/22/07 12:25 PM
I LOVE to use color in a space.  And I love it more when my clients agree with me. Too often their tastes vary from white to off white :)  The following pictures are a few quick before and after shots of what we created with Color in a Wholistic Center.  The clients were thrilled (and so were the patients :)!  We wanted each treatment room to have it's own feel, depending on the service the patient was getting.  This is called the "Cafe of Life" in lovely Long Island, New York.

 That's what they told me; my own Guild.  Trying to do a project on the scale has never been done before by ANY members of the Guild.  And if the project "flops" (their word, not mine), it will look like the Guild flopped.  I almost dropped the idea---almost.  Until my son stopped in one night when I had just gotten the letter discouraging me.  "Don't worry about it, we'll do it."  Right.  This is the kid who can't be bothered taking out the garbage.

Having watched Larry King last night, it was interesting to hear the critics of "The Secret," the motivational DVD of the century. Don't rely on it, you were warned.  Many of us have for years and found out, it WORKS. 
There are so many misconceptions about Feng Shui (and we work using the "secrets,") I thought I'd try to clear some up.  What does the secret teach you?  That you can have a life of prosperity and abundance in all areas, by setting Intentions, sending out good Energy and believing that it works.  You must take actions as well … (37 comments)

Thank you, Val, for getting me back into this site!  If I could figure out how to invite people (or accept them for that matter!) I would use it more often.
I'm afraid to asked what I missed, though I see the site has grown SO much!  How wonderful that is.  I believe finally Realtors are becoming more open to both Feng Shui (Thank goodness for The Secret :)! AND Home Staging which is so necessary in this market.
