Feng Shui Romance--Your Partnership Area - 09/26/08 09:31 PM
Feng Shui Romance
As a New York Feng Shui Consultant, sometimes things are very easy to see from a Feng Shui perspective.  Luckily, at this Feng Shui Consultation in Suffolk County Long Island, this was one of them.
I sit with my client's for a while before actually going through their home or office.  I want to hear what they primarily want to focus on (finances, health, careers, romance) and I also want to teach them as much as I can about the principles and topics of Feng Shui---the more they understand, the more empowered they become.
The understand the reason … (36 comments)

Central Park New York. Who Doesn't Love it? The Complete Guide to Central Park and Central Park Zoo For those that have visited I always find they want to go back; for those who haven't yet seen it, it's an absolute treasure!  The "Gem of New York City." As a Manhattan Feng Shui Consultant I spend a lot of time in the Park because I love it--and you never know WHAT you're going to find.
They are ALL highly rated in Zagats and a trip to New York City has to include at least one of these on your itinerary.  ZAGAT: Ratings & Reviews … (24 comments)

What's More Important then your HOME? - 09/23/08 09:33 PM
A New Home for a Feng Shui Consultant
If anyone had asked me what's more important then my OWN HOME (which is my Sanctuary!), other then my children and family I don't quite know what I would have said.  In need or repair or not, it is my own oasis.  While others see the OLD, I was and still am, in my own home and my client's homes, always able to see the POTENTIAL.
I've fled during the recent renovations.  There is not a room upstairs that hasn't been redone.  Old paneling revealed 100 year old wallpaper and broken plaster walls.  … (25 comments)

A New York Feng Shui Consultant's Home - 09/22/08 05:33 PM

A Feng Shui Consultant's Home in New York.
Many of you have asked about the progress of my home in Long Island in doing some major renovations to it.  If you don't know, last year while on vacation my basement flooded.  Despite many calls and letters by myself and my neighbors, the Village of Farmingdale did not clean out the storm indrains---for a very long time.

I had no idea that it had created mold in my basement and that's why I had been sick and on shots for an entire year.  I wasn't the only one:  Village of … (25 comments)

Feng Shui in Huntington Long Island-- New York - 09/20/08 06:15 PM
In the Long Island Town of Huntington on the famous North Shore of Long Island is a small and very private treasure trove of  beauty called Bay Hills Long Island New York.  Feng Shui Consultants often find their own reflections in Nature and arriving early one morning for a Feng Shui Consultation in Huntington, Laura Cerrano and I had a few minutes to spare.
Just up the road from our clients home was a lovely little beach, private for the residents of Bay Village.  It was a warm, sunny day, the night after an awful storm but we were blessed with … (23 comments)

Feng Shui--Real Estate and Home Staging; We are more ALIKE then we Ever THOUGHT - 09/18/08 11:18 PM
Feng Shui-- Real Estate and Home Staging.  Two ‘jobs' that seem very different but are more interconnected then most people realize.  I have been asked so many times what it's like to be a Feng Shui consultant and while I can't speak for others, I CAN tell you what it's like to be THIS Feng Shui Consultant.
While we may get calls for very different reasons (my calls can range anywhere from someone seeking more money, enhanced health, feeling "stuck" and homes where my clients are seeing and hearing things) we are also called quite often by people who's homes have … (25 comments)

A Feng Shui Testimonial: Jennifer's Story by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 09/12/08 08:43 AM
It is said that pictures say a thousand words.  They do.  So then do the words that we write have a profound impact on those that read it.  Whether we are blogging, commenting, or writing articles something you write may well touch a nerve with someone reading it.
Our articles and blogs are found years after we write them.  And it may be the very thing that will make someone decide to work with you.  In the case of Feng Shui Testimonials it is very difficult for my clients, no matter how grateful they are to write them.  Perhaps they don't … (34 comments)

One of the Saddest Days of the Year in Manhattan & Around the World by Feng Shui Long Island - 09/10/08 09:29 PM
This is the one day out of the entire year that is the most difficult for me.  Living in New York and loving New York City I am, as SO many others still devastated by the losses of 9/11/2001.  Loss of life, of course--many, many wonderful lives and a feeling of loss of Freedom.  Since that day when traveling to New York City for a Feng Shui Consultation you can see all the uniforms at Penn Station which is somehow a sight I never get used to.
There are cutbacks now as well on our Security but I have always wondered … (17 comments)

Return to Plagarism--And an Amazing "COINCIDENCE" in Huntington Long Island by Feng Shui Long Island New York - 09/09/08 07:49 PM
I absolutely believe in SPONTENAITY!  I DO NOT, however, believe in "Coincidences."  I know I wouldn't "come across" some of the wonderful finds if I wasn't spontaneous.  As a Feng Shui Consultant in Long Island and New York City, I am often able after a Feng Shui consultation to enjoy MORE of the day in whatever area I happen to find myself in.  I have passed this quality on to my daughter and fellow Feng Shui Consultant Laura Cerrano--in short, we work well together and "play" well together!
After a Feng Shui Consultation on Sunday in the gorgeous town of Huntington Harbor … (35 comments)

Feng Shui HEALTH--A Feng Shui New York Consultants Views - 09/08/08 09:02 AM
Feng Shui and Health Issues:  As a Feng Shui Consultant and Teacher, I have written about what I consider to be things to watch out for in Feng Shui that relate to health--which I am ALWAYS mindful of.  I have written about Leaks as they relate to Feng Shui, Ceiling Fans (which most of my clients do NOT want to part with), some staircases depending on the placement and the way they were built....and BEAMS.
Some of these have what is called in Feng Shui "Cutting Chi" or "Cutting Sha" which literally means they are dangerous points to stay away from … (23 comments)

A True Feng Shui New York Makeover---by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 09/03/08 07:10 PM
A complete Long Island New York Feng Shui Makeover!  I am finally able to provide the links from an Article that Newsday our local Long Island NY newspaper printed.  Feng Shui Long Island was featured along with our lovely client, Karen Van Dusen.
This Feng Shui Makeover was in Mineola Long Island New York.
Karen's call was NOT unusual.  In fact as Feng Shui Consultants we are often called in because our clients believe in Predecessor Energy and because she had breast cancer.  She wanted an optimal set up of her existing furniture and items ONLY as she had downscaled from … (30 comments)

What a New York Feng Shui Consultant MIGHT Recommend....by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 09/02/08 10:49 PM
During a Feng Shui Consultation in New York my clients often want to purchase items that are considered auspicious for one reason or another in Feng Shui.  The Chinese and many other cultures have symbols they consider important to acknowledge or are considered lucky and while no ones home needs to end up looking like a Chinese Restaurant, I thought I would share some of my favorite items.  Some of these things I use personally during a Feng Shui Consultation and I also use them in my own home.  Please see the note at the bottom :)
*Please note:  These pictures … (28 comments)

IMAGINE--A Manhattan Feng Shui Consultant in Central Park--See Strawberry Fields - 09/01/08 07:06 PM
Some people had tears rolling down their eyes....even now, almost 30 years later.  From some of my previous posts you may know that this Manhattan Feng Shui Consultant LOVES Central Park; Back to Nature--Central Park in New York City! by Feng Shui Long Island  and although I've been to Strawberry Fields before I don't spend much time there.  It is still very sad for me too, even now.
But my friend   Fernando Rosado ASP, president IAHSP PBC 561-906-0050 or 561-840-8950 : Fernando's Home Staging Blog   requested some photos (how did he know I had just visited there?).  Feng Shui Consultant Laura Cerrano and … (18 comments)

A Feng Shui New York Feng Shui Consultatants "Find" by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 09/01/08 11:18 AM
As a Feng Shui Consultant who is often in New York City - Manhattan - giving a Feng Shui Consultation, I often come across things I never would have seen.  For example, walking back to Penn Station from a Feng Shui Consultation in Midtown Manhattan, I came across a small park....devoted to Katharine Hepburn (more pictures in an upcoming post).  No matter how long you live here or how often you visit New York City, there are always things you miss.
