Central Park -- New York City by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 09/30/09 11:35 PM
Central Park New York City by Feng Shui Long Island & New York
After a recent Feng Shui Consultation in New York City recently, I headed up to Central Park.  I lucked out with a beautiful, warm day and while I should be used to seeing these horses, I still have mixed feelings about them.
New York City is legendary for their Carriage Rides through Central Park.  And years ago I'd taken my children on one; I hadn't looked closely at the Horse at the time and he fell ill during the ride.  I hated seeing the horse in such distress … (24 comments)

Belmont Lake State Park Long Island New York--Suffolk County NY by Feng Shui Consultant Carole Provenzale - 09/27/09 11:04 AM
Belmont Lake State Park Suffolk County  --  Long Island New York
Birds of a Feather?
There have been a growing number of crimes on Long Island New York that are being billed as "discrimination" by some while others believe it's the number of gangs that have grown in certain areas of Long Island New York.  Others just believe it's the growing population on Long Island NY.
The old saying "Birds of a Feather Stick Together" came to mind when I saw this picture.  Two birds, clearly NOT the same still enjoying a lovely day together.  Belmont Lake State Park in Suffolk … (21 comments)

Port Jefferson Long Island New York --
On our way home from a Feng Shui Consultation on Long Island New York recently, Laura and I were passing by one of our favorite towns, Pt. Jefferson Long Island New York.
It's a waterfront town where you can catch the Ferry to Connecticut, find wonderful restaurants and those "different" types of … (19 comments)

Coney Island Brooklyn New York -- Thoughts from a New York Feng Shui Consultant - 09/25/09 08:37 PM
Coney Island Brooklyn New York  --  Thoughts from a New York Feng Shui Consultant
Coney Island Brooklyn New York.
If you've never been there, you might want to see what it looks like.  If you've visited, you might want to re-visit one last time.  Much of Coney Island in Brooklyn New York has been rezoned and in 2010 many of the familiar places will be gone.  To those of us that have visited there since we were young, they are historic.  Many historic sites in New York are gone-in the name of "Progress."
As of this writing, it is a stalled … (24 comments)

Feng Shui Apartment in Queens New York - 09/24/09 06:44 PM
Feng Shui Apartment in Queens New York
I have been providing Feng Shui Consultations in Queens NY for many years now.  While not that far from Long Island New York, it's almost as if you're in another land.  Queens New York is SO diverse in every area that you go to.  This most recent Feng Shui Consultation took me to Springfield Gardens in Queens NY.
The Queens NY Apartments didn't appear nearly as lovely from the outside as they were once you stepped inside.  They were open and filled with light, something that is sometimes in short supply in apartments whether … (18 comments)

New York City Skyscraper -- Always a Sight! by a New York Feng Shui Consultant - 09/23/09 07:27 PM
New York City.  People say you either LOVE it or you hate it and I've always found that to be true.
As a New York City Feng Shui Consultant, I find myself all over:  Uptown, Downtown and in some very special places I had not before heard about such as Tudor City New York.  A beautiful city within a City.
I remember speaking to a man in Paris who wanted to visit New York City as much as I'd wanted to visit HIS beautiful city.  He spoke about the Skyscrapers and said he'd flown over them once but had not been … (21 comments)

Feng Shui in Lindenhurst Long Island New York & Real Estate Agents on The MLS
Years ago, the lovely Long Island NY town of Lindenhurst New York wasn't doing very well.  The Village of Lindenhurst wanted to help Main Street become vibrant and alive again so they turned to one of my former Mentors, Pamela Laurence with some grant money to instill some good Feng Shui back into the town.
And that's exactly what she did!  She revitalized the Village of Lindenhurst New York while working within the allotted budget to encourage business owners to rent again and attract people back … (17 comments)

Feng Shui in New York.....and TIME - 09/17/09 10:34 PM
A New York Feng Shui Consultant and TIME by Feng Shui Long Island & NY
As a Feng Shui New York Consultant, I used to run by TIME, not ENERGY.  I had to rush through everything I did so I would be on time for one thing or another.  I never had the time to slow down and take in the beauty around me; I was simply run by TIME.
When I decided to become a full time Feng Shui Consultant and left my old Corporate job, the first thing I did was throw away my watch.  Here in New York … (28 comments)

Feng Shui & Professor Lin Yun -- Old Westbury Long Island New York - 09/16/09 05:52 PM
Feng Shui & Professor Lin Yun  --  Old Westbury Long Island New York
Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun has had many accomplishments in his life.  I still consider his finest to be bringing the Black Sect Method of Feng Shui to the United States in 1984, long before almost anyone here had ever HEARD of Feng Shui.
Studying since the age of six years old, Professor Lin Yun has had a long and inspiring career.  He opened our Eyes to possibilities we had never dreamed of and took a subject no one was familiar with that today has become so popular and … (17 comments)

Nathan's Hot Dogs in Coney Island Brooklyn NY by Feng Shui Manhattan NY - 09/13/09 06:35 AM

The Original NATHAN’S in Coney Island Brooklyn New York

Is Nathan’s in Coney Island Brooklyn really world famous as the sign proclaims?  Or do I just believe it because I’ve grown up in New York and am used to seeing the Hot Dog eating contests every year?

To many of us in New York, Nathan’s Hot Dogs ARE famous.  And this is a landmark building.  While growing up on Long Island, extra special times always called for a trip to Coney Island NY.  Nathan’s was always a stop on that list.

Much of Coney Island in Brooklyn … (34 comments)

September 11, 2001: The Day The World Stood Still by Feng Shui Long Island - 09/10/09 07:45 PM
September 11th 2001  --  The Day the World Stood Still
I don't revisit Ground Zero-It is too difficult for me and too sad.  One devastating day that changed ourselves and our world forever.

Trinity Church seen in the Background

These pictures are from last year and show Downtown Manhattan and some photos of St. Paul's Church which is located on Broadway, directly across from Ground Zero.  It is nothing short of a miracle that this church remains and is said to have been protected by a huge Sycamore tree that sheltered it from the falling debri.

Special Sunsets in Provincetown, MA by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 09/09/09 05:58 PM
Special Sunsets in Provincetown, MA by Feng Shui New Long Island & New York
Outside in Provincetown, MA you can watch some of the most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen.  It's a time there where the day slows down and people stop to watch the beauty of another day coming to an end.
For many it is also a time for preparing for the nightlife there...of which there is a wonderful assortment of things to do.  Lily Tomlin was there for a show during our stay.
We saw several artists capturing the beauty with all different medias from pastels to … (24 comments)

New York Feng Shui and The EVIL Eye by Feng Shui NY Consultant Carole Provenzale - 09/07/09 06:30 PM
New York Feng Shui and The Evil Eye by Feng Shui Consultant Carole Provenzale, NY Feng Shui ConsultantIn working with Feng Shui in New York for so many years, I have had clients ask me about my knowledge and understanding of what is known as "The Evil Eye."  Some of my Feng Shui clients actually feel that they have been cursed as they have had so much bad luck or difficulties in their lives.
In Feng Shui School, the Evil Eye was discussed only briefly.  As Feng Shui Consultants we were taught that the use of Peacock Feathers helps to dispel … (25 comments)

You're Never too Old to Live Your Dreams...... - 09/05/09 10:24 PM
Just Another Day on Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA
It's been many years since I've ventured up to Cape Cod.  I used to visit Provincetown almost every year with and without my children.  They have fond memories of Whale Watching trips, beautiful beaches, wonderful restaurants and fun people.
There is a tolerance in PTown that I don't see in many places.  Perhaps that's why it attracts so many people every year.  As busy as Commercial Street is, there is an absence of cars honking.   There is an abundance of friendly people who will take time to tell you their favorite restaurants or … (25 comments)

Feng Shui in Northport Long Island NY
On a recent visit to a Client's home on lovely Long Island in Northport Long Island NY we addressed the inside of her home during a Feng Shui Consultation.  As New York Feng Shui Consultants, we also address the OUTSIDE of a home or business to see what, if any, influences may be affecting the space.

A New York Feng Shui Bedroom? Feng Shui in Queens New York by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 09/03/09 03:49 PM
A New York Feng Shui Bedroom?  By Feng Shui New York Consultant
A Feng Shui Bedroom in Flushing Queens New York
As a Feng Shui Consultant in New York, I encourage people to read about Feng Shui and try to apply some of the principles to their own Homes and Businesses.
There is, however, so MUCH information out there and so many schools of thought on Feng Shui, it can become confusing.  VERY confusing.  That's a good time to call a qualified Feng Shui Consultant in.
My client in Flushing Queens NY called me after she had made … (17 comments)

ART in the Park by Feng Shui New York Consultant - 09/02/09 08:14 AM
I loved this photo...there was no sign with it so it gave no Artists name or any indication of what it meant to the Artist.
It was also set back so if you hadn't been looking around, you likely would have passed it by.  This photo was taken about 25 miles North of Paris, France while climbing up to the site of Vincent Van Gogh's gravesite near the cornfields he used to paint.
His most famous pieces will all soon be placed in the Museum they are building next to the tiny room he occupied during his final days.  His work … (23 comments)

Your Reputation in Life from a New York Feng Shui Consultant's Point of View - 09/01/09 09:08 PM
Your Reputation in Life from a New York Feng Shui Consultant's Point of View
My father used to tell me the BEST thing he could leave me in life was not money, it was his name.  A spotless reputation, he said, would get me where I wanted to be in life.
It took me years to understand that but as a result, I never changed my name.  To this day, I STILL meet people who remember my father fondly and have never met a person who did not like him.
While on a Feng Shui Consultation just last year for a … (16 comments)
