On Memorial Day Weekend excited Drummers and Belly Dancers gathered together at the Sunken Meadow State Park in Long Island NY to offer a free public drum circle. Last weekend I had back-to-back Feng Shui and Reiki healing sessions throughout New York City.
During my lunch break, I decided to visit the historic South Street Seaport, located adjacent to the financial district in lower Manhattan. This was a wonderful visit as it was bustling with outdoor shoppers and dining, and even lounge chairs located at the end of the pier where you could just lay back to take in the views and pause for a moment.

Allowing for some 'me time', I visited Storm King Mountain for a day of hiking. For those of you who are based out of Queens, NY, or NYC, the trip up to Strom King Mountain is about a one-hour drive (not too bad!). This trailhead is located off of Mountain Ave.
I dub this part of the hike (following the blue/yellow trail), the wisdom tree :) It reminds me of a hike I used to commonly trek when living in California.
For those who will enjoy some rock scrambling, you'll find a bit of that while hiking the Strom King Mountain Trail.

Not too long ago, those of us who’ve collaborated on the development of Long Island City’s newest residential building, NOVA, located at 41-05 29th street, came together for a mid-way celebration.
