feng shui huntington: Close Encounters of the BEST Kind in Feng Shui Long Island NY - 07/03/09 02:59 PM
Close Encounters of the BEST Kind in Feng Shui Long Island, NY
Today was beautiful.  I was determined to go out and play for a bit and ended up in the lovely town of Huntington Long Island.  I've written about it so many times because it truly is a special place.  I think of it as a little bit of New York City on Long Island with the Galleries, eclectic shops and wonderful restaurants.
There is also a store that I always visit when I am there called Mystic Warrior.  It has lovely Native American objects and crystals; today I was in … (12 comments)

feng shui huntington: Go Ahead....Cross some "Boundaries" in Life! by Feng Shui Long Island & NY - 06/22/09 10:41 AM
Are YOU “Out of Bounds” with your Clients?  Feng Shui Queens NY.

As a Feng Shui Consultant in New York, I am always careful not to cross any “boundaries” with my clients.  Often times after a Feng Shui Consultation we will keep in touch and it’s not at all unusual for us to become friends.

It is, in fact, one of the nicest parts of this lovely art of Feng Shui.

Still, there are boundaries.  I sometimes wonder if I asked a client/friend for something if I would be “crossing the line.”  I don’t want to do that … (18 comments)

feng shui huntington: Feng Shui in New York: Sherie's Story - 03/24/09 04:46 PM
Feng Shui in New York:  Sherie's Story
Feng Shui in Huntington New York-This is a sad story.  If you're looking for a "pick me up" you might want to move along to another post .There are also lessons here for ALL of us.

Last year Laura Cerrano and I did a Feng Shui Consultation in beautiful Huntington Long Island in New York.  I didn't write about my clients at the time, their story was personal.  I did write about the beautiful area of Huntington: Feng Shui in Huntington Long Island-- New York
Sherie had contacted me for a Feng Shui … (22 comments)

feng shui huntington: Feng Shui in Huntington Long Island-- New York - 09/20/08 11:15 AM
In the Long Island Town of Huntington on the famous North Shore of Long Island is a small and very private treasure trove of  beauty called Bay Hills Long Island New York.  Feng Shui Consultants often find their own reflections in Nature and arriving early one morning for a Feng Shui Consultation in Huntington, Laura Cerrano and I had a few minutes to spare.
Just up the road from our clients home was a lovely little beach, private for the residents of Bay Village.  It was a warm, sunny day, the night after an awful storm but we were blessed with … (23 comments)

feng shui huntington: Return to Plagarism--And an Amazing "COINCIDENCE" in Huntington Long Island by Feng Shui Long Island New York - 09/09/08 12:49 PM
I absolutely believe in SPONTENAITY!  I DO NOT, however, believe in "Coincidences."  I know I wouldn't "come across" some of the wonderful finds if I wasn't spontaneous.  As a Feng Shui Consultant in Long Island and New York City, I am often able after a Feng Shui consultation to enjoy MORE of the day in whatever area I happen to find myself in.  I have passed this quality on to my daughter and fellow Feng Shui Consultant Laura Cerrano--in short, we work well together and "play" well together!
After a Feng Shui Consultation on Sunday in the gorgeous town of Huntington Harbor … (34 comments)

feng shui huntington: New York Feng Shui Art: What's 650 HOURS of YOUR Time Worth? by Feng Shui Long Island & Manhattan - 06/30/08 03:16 PM
New York Feng Shui Art?  What's 650 HOURS of your Time Worth?
I have always grown up with a love of ART.  All different art in all different medias.  Recently on a Feng Shui Consultation in the lovely town of Huntington, Long Island, New York I came across some amazing artwork I wanted to share with you.
As you probably already know, artwork in Feng Shui is very important.  We use art to address the elements or to "back yourself up in life."  We can add what's missing or simply signify something significant in Feng Shui with the use of artwork. … (15 comments)

feng shui huntington: Feng Shui New York Renovations: Why Call a Feng Shui Consultant? by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 06/29/08 02:34 PM
Feng Shui New York Renovations
My Feng Shui Consultation today was on Long Island's wonderful town of Huntington, New York.  If you are familiar with Long Island at all, you're probably aware of this town and it's special qualities.  It's almost like a little piece of New York City on Long Island:  quaint little shops, wonderful places to eat. At night, the town is still "hopping."  There are bars and restaurants and wonderful older theaters-and it's bookstores.  I am Books and The Book Revue are two favorites with something always going on.
My client's today were fantastic, completely in touch with … (15 comments)

feng shui huntington: INTUITIVE Feng Shui by Feng Shui Long Island - 01/05/08 12:52 PM
I believe we ALL have some Intuition.  This isn't to say that we always USE it or even acknowledge it, but it's there none the less.  The more you choose to ignore it, the less it will come.  There is something called ‘Intuitive Feng Shui.'  Some Feng Shui Consultants practice by this method only, they use their intuition to guide the changes they feel a client should make.
And some clients have it as well, though they are often unaware of it.  When I am speaking to a client prior to a consultation I will always ask what they know of Feng … (29 comments)

feng shui huntington: WAIT! 2007 is Ending? Does Anyone Else Want a RE-DO? by Feng Shui Long Island - 12/31/07 01:57 AM
Am I the only one on Activerain that doesn't want to see 2007 end?  Isn't there just ONE other person?  We have over 62,000 members, surely some loved this year as much as I did!
It's funny, this is probably the FIRST year Ever that I didn't want to end...and it is.  I had such a good time this year that I can't imagine having all those blessings again in 2008.  Sure, they (whoever "they" are, I've never quite figured that one out) have thrown me a few curve balls.  Just to TRY to get me off course.  Maybe it did-for a … (34 comments)

feng shui huntington: Feng Shui the TEEN Years? Or Run for the Hills? by Feng Shui Long Island - 12/20/07 12:49 PM
Ah, those TEEN years we had.  Remember how much FUN they were?  Not a care in the world.  Then one day we grew up-and our beautiful little "darlings" became TEENAGERS themselves.  Things certainly turned around, now THEY were the ones who knew everything.  We were suddenly OLD and not only that, we didn't know a thing.
I got the nicest compliments from my children-wonderful sayings like "Get with it, Mom" or "You just don't GET IT."  I DON'T GET IT??  During these years, my daughter stayed pretty stable (having already caught on that she wasn't going to win) but I noticed my … (30 comments)

feng shui huntington: It's been QUITE a Week!! I have all of YOU to Thank... by Feng Shui Long Island - 12/16/07 11:25 AM
I rarely put up updates...I often wonder if anyone really cares.  But some wonderful things have happened and I've had quite a few of them this week...At least one of them I know you'd like to hear about; and I've saved it for the end-- (I LOVE those Happy Endings)!
I received not one but two wonderful phone calls this week from  people from ActiveRain that I have never spoken to.  I am honored that they would think of me and especially honored that they would take the time to call me....Bless you both!  And to those of you who were kind … (35 comments)

feng shui huntington: Living, Learning and Embracing The DAO by Feng Shui Long Island - 12/12/07 07:46 AM
Do The Dao
Sounds like a dance, doesn't it?  I am sure some of you are well familiar with it but others may not be.  And you no longer have to believe a Feng Shui consultant from Long Island, you can now get the best of this information from Dr. Wayne Dyer who has just released his newest book, "Change your Thoughts, Change your Life-Living in the Wisdom of The Tao."  Who cares?  Well, I can't speak for other places but can tell you here on Long Island the calls I receive more often are for pre purchase clients from other countries. They … (23 comments)

feng shui huntington: What Does Barry Manilow have to do with Real Estate?? - 12/11/07 11:49 AM
Absolutely nothing to be honest.  He does, however, have something to do with Activerain, but I'll get to that in a minute.  I was fortunate enough to be able to see him in concert just a few days ago at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island.  For anyone that reads my posts they probably know I LOVE music.  I go to as many concerts as I can.
I have been going to concerts since I turned 13 and never "outgrew" them if there is such a thing.  I love ALL music and everything from the oldies to today's songs.  There … (30 comments)

feng shui huntington: BAD Feng Shui Gifts---Be Careful What You GIVE.....by Feng Shui Long Island - 12/01/07 12:03 PM
Did you know there were BAD Feng Shui Presents?  Are you choosing something special for someone you love only to find out it will perhaps bring them grief or even poverty?  I think you'd better watch out.  And then again, you have to think about the gifts YOU are receiving.  It's all so complicated, isn't it?
I had a phone call just this week from someone at a Television Station that presents the "News at 5."  The message I received was that they wanted to interview someone for the next day's broadcast to do a short piece on "Bad" Feng Shui Gifts.  … (35 comments)

feng shui huntington: You Can't Always Get What You WANT.....by Feng Shui Long Island - 11/30/07 10:29 AM
Funny, isn't it?  You're expecting or hoping for something and it doesn't come to you at all.  Fact is, things are not always going to turn out the way you might have hoped.  Sometimes, they turn out even BETTER.
Last month I mentioned in a post that I had written a very short piece to be included in an article for Women's Day Magazine.  The reporter writing the article, Jane Mascarella had previously interviewed me and was doing a piece for Woman's Day called "Giving Thanks."  Myself and many others were asked to submit a very short note of Thanks to anyone … (25 comments)

feng shui huntington: When Feng Shui and a Haunted House "Collide"-- A Haunting in Huntington, Long Island - 10/31/07 12:45 PM
It invariably comes up, it is only a matter of time. When I sit my clients down to do the initial interview during a Feng Shui Consultation, I often use some of the same questions. I want to know the history of the house or business, if known (for predecessor energy). I like to know how long they’ve lived there, if any major life events have happened there (illness, children) and whether they are experiencing any health issues. I always ask what areas in particular do they wish to focus on: it might be Career, Relationships, Wealth or a combination of … (22 comments)

feng shui huntington: Let's Talk a Little More about Honesty---A Feng Shui Reflection on Long Island - 10/05/07 02:27 PM
I love it when you are able to be completely honest and open with someone; I am not one for "brushing things under the rug."    There have been occasions where people have inadvertently hurt me or caused distress and in the past, I have let them know, lovingly, that while I'm sure they didn't mean to do it and it was completely unintentional, that this particular action DID hurt.  It's in their reaction(s) to being completely honest that I have often run across the following:
Instant denial.  They don't take a moment to think about what you might be saying no matter … (16 comments)

feng shui huntington: How DO You Measure Your Success? It's not so simple... - 10/04/07 03:25 PM
I know I have a different "job" then most but regardless of what we do, we all want the very best for our clients.  Yesterday I had a phone call from a potential client who had an interest (though not an understanding) of Feng Shui.  Most clients do not ask me that many questions, which is surprising.  I believe if I were inviting someone into my home or office I would ask quite a few questions but I have found that they read your website and/or blogs and that spurs their decision to call you.
I was explaining Feng Shui to this … (26 comments)

feng shui huntington: You need Persistance AND Creativity in New York City - 09/25/07 02:45 PM
I am all for taking some time out for just plain FUN.  I make it a point every year to go to the Annual San Gennaro Feast, Manhattan's biggest, most famous and longest running "festival."  This year was the 80th Festival and that's one LONG time.  If you've watched The Godfather, you've probably seen parts of it on TV.  Being there, however, is a little different!
I always go with my daughter and the weather called for a bright, sunny day.  One of those picture perfect days for strolling around the city.  A little background:  The San Gennaro Feast is held in … (26 comments)
