I was in New York City for a Feng Shui Consultation and before heading over, I decided to visit the Fort Washington Park, located along the world famous Hudson River. A few things that intrigued me to explore. First, it was an absolute beautiful day outside. Second, I needed a break from all the urban energy. And third, I heard about a "Little Red Light House" that was built directly underneath the George Washington Bridge. And so, my journey began!

Question: I am in the process of Feng Shui-ing my NYC apartment and I read putting plants in the bedroom is bad. Then In a video, I hear plants are good Feng Shui. What would you suggest?
The answer to this is, yes and no. How so? Looking to the scientific facts about plants, in the evening time most plants give off carbon dioxide. That is not ideal when we are sleeping. Being sure your bedroom is set up for optimal rejuvenation and healing is essential.

How many of us take a moment or even a day or so just to honor ourselves? This is a lesson I am in the process of learning. Since taking over my mother's company, "Feng Shui Long Island, Inc,' full time in 2010, it's been non-stop with setting up meetings for new projects, PR work, marketing, providing workshops, classes, and private consultations, while also writing a book on Feng Shui.
My lesson within this past month has been about slowing down and getting into a rhythm that does not overwhelm myself. I have begun to pace my work days with a more structured schedule for certian activies … (9 comments)

In between a NYC feng shui consultation from Tribeca to Madison Ave, I stopped off in Central Park to enjoy lunch and take in some fun people watching time. Next to me, I was serenaded by two guitar players and enjoyed just being present and taking in a few moments of stillness from the hustle and bustle energy of New York City.

I was checking out the Hearst Building in NYC after providing a Feng Shui walking tour and decided to take the subway near by back to Penn Station. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw and smelled. That right, even the smell counts. NYC subways system's are known for their funk (especially in the summer time).
This subway descent was enjoyable because I was greeted with the aroma of food and colorful walls, floors and even artwork along the ceiling. The lighting was also a great enhancer for the energy flow. It would be great to see all the subway systems have this type of presentation for commuters.

Walking Tour Completed!
The day started off with some unsettling wealther, yet as the feng shui walkign tour began, the clouds parted and not a drop of rain fell on our heads. We had 9 Feng Shui walkers attend the 9:30am walking tour.
This was a unique way to celebrate Mother's Day (May 8th, 2016)! We walked the streets of NYC and developed our Feng Shui eyes to see hidden Feng Shui architectural designs.
