long island: Long Island New York Festivals - 09/10/16 05:16 AM

Even though the summer months have come to a close, this does not mean the fun has to stop. There are tons of FREE and affordable events and festivals that continue way into the fall months. To check out festivals, crafts fairs and carnivals all around Long Island NY, visit EventsLongIsland.com. One of my favorite things to do during the fall season is to go pumpkin and apple picking, shop locally at farm stand, taste fresh apple cider and eat fresh corn on the cob. YUM!

Exploring Long Beach New York
Over the weekend, New York was blessed with amazing Spring weather! I had some work in the early part of the weekend and made sure to take time off to practice what I preach, being present in life and balancing work with play.
I had the pleasure of walking along the Long Beach boardwalk (which has finally been rebuilt from the impact of Hurricane Sandy) with a great friend, catching up, sharing laughs and some snacks.
Here are some views of the beach with a couple enjoying the view and sunshine. As the Summer time approaches, be sure to stop by the City … (2 comments)

long island: STOP Cutting Down Valuble Trees on Long Island NY - 10/01/14 10:43 PM
STOP Cutting Down Valuable Trees on Long Island NY

Driving down South Oyster Bay Road on Long Island NY to my shock I saw the entire street with 'X's' on just about all of the trees. I inquired to see if the trees were infected or sick. Nope, they are 100 percent healthy. Long Island officials also did this near Levittown NY. Beautiful trees that have been there for about 100 years, maybe a bit less, cut down like it was nothing.  It reminded me of the movie, Ferngulley.

Exploring Long Island-Orient Point New York-Northfork

Have you ever explored the beaches and coastlines on Long Island during winter time? If not, I do recommend checking out the sights because it presents a extremely peaceful atmosphere.
As you can see in the photo above, the water is clear as day, do to boaters lessened actions threw the water.

After my Art Fusion event in Riverhead, I decided to keep traveling east to explore the entire Island from end to the other.  I have been to Montauk but never the full end of the NorthFork...only 48 minutes away I said, why the heck not :)

Can Feng Shui Co-exist with Modern Day Science?
I rarely have an interaction with Scientists–or Chemists.  Ok, I’ve actually NEVER had an interaction with them in any way.  My beliefs and theirs, I thought were VERY different.  If it can’t be Proven by some scientific theory, then it is just fiction to them, a “new age” thought process that doesn’t mean a thing.  And in many ways, I see their point.  I often have people say “PROVE it to me” and want things backed up with evidence; evidence I am unable to produce.  Would the testimonials PROVE anything to them?  Not … (0 comments)

Beauty after the Storm

The other day was a wicked storm passing through Long Island.

Not to much longer after, an amazing view of a full rainbow...in that fact a double rainbow.  What a great way to finish up the day after accomplishing so much and fitting in the gym.

long island: Thought for the Day, How would you repond to no lights for 3 days? - 09/02/13 12:16 AM
Question for the Day, How would you respond to no lights for 3 days?

Many of us experienced this scenario along the east coast during and after Hurricane Sandy. Thousands went for days without electricity, heat or running water. In fact there are still many rebuilding.
If you were in a similar position where you had to experience at least 3 days or perhaps even more without light, how do you think you would respond to a situation like that? Would it be all fear based or would you let go of fear and rationalize your thoughts to see past … (6 comments)

Speak up for Fair Elections In New York State

Some of you may have seen flyers, heard messages on TV, the radio or even banners about the 2013 Fair Elections Act hanging from overpasses along route 135 in Long Island NY. Great change can come to help create fairer laws where the public is more involved in the process of passing laws that could benefit the all of New York and not just the 1% percent as many have put it.  It's 2013 and honestly it feels like we are moving backwards with the concept of equality, it's not just … (2 comments)

Why We Fight MS
Having multiple sclerosis means that you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are different, and devastating, for everyone ? the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.

Speechless Sunday: Silent Waters by Laura Cerrano

The end of this week has been interesting with how energy and transformation has been taking place.  During times like this, it's best to be silent, take time for yourself and reflect.  Yesterday was a full moon, which represents completion and letting go.
