Sunday, May 1st 2011 was another successful MS Walk fundraiser. The walk took place at the famous Long Island NY landmark, Jones Beach. Thousands turned out in support for finding a cure and to walk in honor of friends and/or family who have passed from this diagnosis.

Without fail, every year Santa pays a visit to our little Long Island New York Community of Farmingdale NY. I don't know how he finds the time, honestly....

Landmarks? Local History? I’d have to say for me, Amityville is Hyper-Local…it’s the very next town from where I live. It’s the “Eye Candy” I’m not too sure about. As a 30 year resident of this town, I've been here longer then our new Mayor...For anyone familiar with Long Island, I moved all the way from Wantagh (The Gateway to Jones Beach) to arrive at what I consider the exact middle of Long Island...Farmingdale. We are neither the prestigious North Shore nor the trendy South Shore but are right in the middle, bordering two Counties, Nassau and Suffolk.

It is one way of life and living, following beliefs and respecting eachother. A Peek inside a Monastery: A respectful way of life in Old Westbury, Long Island, New York Long Island also has a lovely Shrine in Riverhead, where many people go to pray and respect a different belief. I'm often suprised that many people aren't aware of it while others flock there for it's peacefulness.

All of my posts are about actual events with my clients. This one is difficult to tell; it is long and it was a powerful lesson to me of something I had never seen or heard of before.

It's interesting to me that when client's think about the Feng Shui in their "Space," too often they forget about the outside and it's relationship to the things that are going on in their lives. They immediately think about furniture placement, perhaps colors and other things indoors they may have heard or read about but rarely access their yards. I was reminded of this during a recent Feng Shui Consultation in Huntington, Long Island, New York.

One of my favorite things to get calls for in Feng Shui are for Renovations. I love consulting on the Colors, Decorating, new furniture additions and the placement of it and I love to watch it as it comes "alive."
