Long Beach during the Summer

Long Beach during the Winter time. It's just you, the sand and the Ocean :)
The beaches on Long Island NY during the winter time are so peaceful.  It's a great place to simply reconnect with yourself, meditate or just enjoy nature.  Feng Shui LI consultant Laura Cerrano, after finishing up her personal training session headed to Long Beach NY to run along the boardwalk.  it was so calm and relaxing to run and hear the sound of the gentle waves in the background.

Finally, Restaurant Week has come to Long Island NY.  I love Restaurant week here as it allows me to go back to some of my Favorite Restaurants across Long Island and try some new ones I haven't been to yet!  
One of my favorite things about being a Feng Shui Consultant on Long Island NY is that I get to travel all over lovely Long Island.  I often stop and eat in Local Restaurants after a Feng Shui Consultation.

Growing up Levittown New York...The Way it Was on Long island
I wondered how to write this post and figured I'd sit down and let it write itself.  It's hard to describe my childhood or what it was like to grow up in the famous (or infamous) Town of Levittown, Long Island NY.  It was, in a word Magical.  And it was sad that none of us really realized we had the "perfect" childhoods.

I awoke this morning to a phone call.  The woman on the other end announced that she was calling from The Bethpage Public Library on Long Island New York.  I was a bit groggy and even more surprised.  Bethpage is NOT my library-I couldn't recall being there and didn't know what she would be calling about.
"It's in response to your letter" she said when I finally asked why she was calling.  Letter...LETTER?  I didn't remember a letter and I didn't know HOW to respond.

Lovely Long Island New York-What are "THEY" taking away from YOU?
As much as I love New York City and all it has to offer, I was always glad that I lived in the Suburbs.  The relative quiet, the beautiful open places and peacefulness used to surround us everywhere on Long Island.  Let's not forget Jones Beach-one of the biggest and most beautiful beaches in the world.
