manhattan: September 11, 2001: The Day The World Stood Still by Feng Shui Long Island - 09/10/09 07:45 PM
September 11th 2001  --  The Day the World Stood Still
I don't revisit Ground Zero-It is too difficult for me and too sad.  One devastating day that changed ourselves and our world forever.

Trinity Church seen in the Background

These pictures are from last year and show Downtown Manhattan and some photos of St. Paul's Church which is located on Broadway, directly across from Ground Zero.  It is nothing short of a miracle that this church remains and is said to have been protected by a huge Sycamore tree that sheltered it from the falling debri.

manhattan: New York City---A Tribute to John Lennon - 12/10/08 09:59 PM
New York City--Central Park--STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER
A Tribute to John Lennon:
December 8th, 1980.  It seems like so LONG ago.  I had just lost my father and was up at night unable to sleep.  The tv was on but I don't remember watching it-just a news flash and I couldn't comprehend it.  I knew they said John Lennon was shot but didn't know whether they said he was alive or not.
It was one of those indefinable moments that changes you somehow-by a person you have never met but has had such a profound effect on you.  Of course I remembered … (38 comments)

manhattan: One of the Saddest Days of the Year in Manhattan & Around the World by Feng Shui Long Island - 09/10/08 09:29 PM
This is the one day out of the entire year that is the most difficult for me.  Living in New York and loving New York City I am, as SO many others still devastated by the losses of 9/11/2001.  Loss of life, of course--many, many wonderful lives and a feeling of loss of Freedom.  Since that day when traveling to New York City for a Feng Shui Consultation you can see all the uniforms at Penn Station which is somehow a sight I never get used to.
There are cutbacks now as well on our Security but I have always wondered … (17 comments)

manhattan: FUN Feng Shui in New York City: What ELSE does a Feng Shui Consultant do? - 07/11/07 10:44 PM
You all know by now I love my "job" AND I love New York City.  Perfect combination for me!  Coming out of a consultation one day on the Upper East Side, I decided to walk back to Penn Station for my train home and thought of getting a "dirty dog" along the way  --  Hot Dogs from the carts in New York are called Dirty Dogs, I believe because the water they are in gets so dirty :)  But then you never know what you're going to run into.  I didn't get home until the evening because as I was walking, … (22 comments)

manhattan: I promised you another Feng Shui Tip for Money: How to COVER your bills! By Feng Shui Long Island, New York City - 05/23/07 07:26 PM
I knew I would be writing up a follow up to a Feng Shui Tip I posted a while ago to help you bring IN some money.  But there are some of us who worry about "Meeting our Bills."  How can you know that your bills, at least, will be COVERED, even as unanticipated ones arrive, seemingly all the time?
Please note that I am only addressing some Black Sect Methods here from my own experience, perspectives and what has occurred with my clients in my years of experience.  As earlier pointed out, there are literally hundreds of Principles of Feng Shui, different ways … (14 comments)

manhattan: For Those Eternal Optimists -- Should we be more PRACTICAL??? - 05/22/07 09:11 PM
I have been accused (and rightly so) of being an "Eternal Optimist" all my life.  And have been told to get my head out of the Clouds and my feet on the Earth, where they belong.  For many people, that is the way they were born or raised and I'm not sure where this particular trait comes from.  IS it something we are born with?  Or is it something that is instilled in us as Children, to reach for the Sky?  I know a few things:  that I was raised to at LEAST try to do what I had my heart … (13 comments)
