Albemarle Corporation invited Orangeburg County's Keep America Beautiful board members to tour their latest project...a walking trail and outdoor classroom that they are constructing on acreage adjacent to their Orangeburg SC plant.
Not far along the trail they did run into a local 'critter' a five foot canebrake rattlesnake!  While the trail is patroled to ensure safety for the students and visitors it was very apparent that the wildlife is indeed protected and in place on this site.  There was also a whitetail deer spotted further along.

Orangeburg County Keep America Beautiful has received the 2007 President's Circle Recognition Award for the third year. 
The Orangeburg County affiliate has fulfilled all accompanying requirements for good standing which include: maintaining an active Board/Advisory Council, attending 6 hours of training in the last twelve months, remaining current with your Network Service Fees and completing your 2007 Semi Annual Report.
