HOME BUYER TAX CREDIT -- WATCH -- UPDATE - LOOKS LIKE THE EXTENSION IS - 10/28/09 09:00 PM
Thanks Eric for this update...news many have been waiting for...it is still best to close before Nov 30th, because THAT TAX CREDIT OF $8,000 IS FOR SURE :)

Here is what USA Today had to say about today's announcements:
"Senators agreed to extend the existing tax credit for first-time homebuyers while offering a reduced credit of up to $6,500 to repeat buyers who have owned their current homes for at least five years, said Regan Lachapelle, a spokeswoman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Extending the First Time Home Buyers Credit for Military Families - 10/13/09 12:39 PM
Thanks to Cindy Jone in Virginia for this great update! If you know a veteran that may qualify for this extension of the tax credit, have them call me today! Also, thanks to Ron Kind (WI) for sponsoring this bill! The house voted yes, unanimously, surely the senate will do the same! What a great way to thank our veterans who have actively fought for our freedoms this past year!

CHICAGO LOSES OLYMPIC BID....What went wrong? - 10/02/09 11:05 AM
How sad, in the VERY FIRST VOTING ROUND, this morning, Chicago was the first of 3 cities to be dropped from the list of potential hosts for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Tokyo was next to be axed.
That leaves Rio in South America, and Madrid in Spain....My guess is Rio. South America has never hosted an Olympic Games, so that is a pretty strong pull....
I am wondering what this bursting of the bubble will do to the city of Chicago, and all the peole who were so wrapped up in this attempt to win the games. I have a … (7 comments)
