$10,000 California New Home Tax Credit to be extended - 10/19/09 07:07 PM

The Sacramento Bee's Jim Wasserman reported today that the California State Senate has voted 35-1 to extend a $10,000 tax credit that helped helped the troubled California new home building industry earlier this year.  Eligible buyers would get a maximum of $3,333 in credits for each of the next three years.  It still must pass the Assembly and then be signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to become law.

In an effort to bolster Virginia Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Craig Deeds, both Obama and Clinton are scheduled to campaign for him. Deeds is running against Republican candidate Bob McDonnell.
Bill Clinton will campaign with Deeds in Northern Virginia on Tuesday in either Arlington or Alexandria.  Al Gore will be with Deeds at a fundraiser in McLean Va on Friday.

1st Time Buyer Credit getting closer to its end, but it may continue? - 10/01/09 09:14 AM
Just wanted to remind everyone being that it is October 1st that there is not a lot of time left for 1st Time Buyers to get their $8000 buyer credit which ends December 1st, 2009, unless they decide to extend the program or offer any other program after that. Contact your local congressman and senator and state your concerns about the program ending. But for now try to motivate your buyers for as you now foreclosures and short-sales can take general at least 90 days sometime more so under priced homes are they best way if they want the $8000 credit … (2 comments)
