Southern Oregon is filled with wonderful wineries and other destinations for us "foodies" to enjoy. Agate Ridge Vineyard in Eagle Point is one that is a bit off the beaten path, but certainly worth a visit to experience their wines while seeing some majestic scenery. They have turned out quite a few worthy award winning wines, including three Silver Medal winners just recently received at the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

This family owned and operated wine shoppe and bar located next to the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater in Downtown Medford is just the place to go for Oregon wines, appetizers and friendly service. It is a favorite stop of mine when meeting friends after work or on my way to or from a performance at the theater. Cork's has a winemaker/vintner night every first Wednesday and blind tasting every Third Friday coinciding with the Downtown Medford Third Friday Art Walk. Come on down to Corksat 235 Theater Alley just off Central and Main in Downtown Medford. You'll be glad you did!

A springtime afternoon in downtown Medford found me and my husband at Elements Tapas Bar & Lounge, hungry but indecisive on what we wanted to have for dinner. We've been to Elements several times since our first visit to this fabulous place in early 2007, when we were meeting friends Downtown or going to a performance at the Ginger Rogers Craterian Theater. Arriving here just after they opened on Saturday, we really had a chance to savor and enjoy not only the incredible selections Elements has, but the wonderful ambiance they have to offer, too.
