If the State of Oregon's Veterans Home Loan program wanted to give you a 30 year fixed rate mortgage with an interest rate of 5.25% for 1% point or 5.125% for 1.25% points, would you buy a home? Many States, Cities and Counties offer Down Payment Assistance Loan programsto first time homebuyers whose income is low-to-moderate.
