I heard some great news today about a local non-profit that is benefiting from our current economy. Tablerock Fellowship in Medford Oregon has been working on expanding the capacity of their Food Pantry to meet the community's growing needs. The number of people being served has jumped from 600 to over 2,200 per month in only a few months.

Caught in the middle of a mini boom for refinancing, I've been a busy little bee here at Quality Home Loansin Ashland, Oregon. With the many changes going on in the mortgage industry, I've learned to allocate extra time in my day to keep up with these many changes, hopefully avoiding being blindsided when a program ends or runs out of money. And to keep up with this crazy market we're inlife of mine, a little cardio on the treadmill has been helpful for stamina building!

This past weekend, the weather was wonderful for the BBQ and Cake celebration at Table Rock Fellowship in Medford Oregon. After the 8:15, 9:45 and 11:30 a.m. services on Sunday, the church had delicious fixin's waiting for everyone to enjoy. Pastor Ron was in "rare" form, reminding us to head out to the food after service.

Run by the YMCA for many years, now being operated by Table Rock Fellowship (TRF), Camp Apserkaha is a sixty-six acre camp located on the southern shore of Howard Prairie Lake. Amenities at Camp Apserkaha include a dining shelter, commercial kitchen, twelve cabins, and almost a half-mile of lake frontage. Just steps away from the Pacific Crest Trail, this camp lies in a beautiful setting in the Southern Oregon woods with incredible views of Mt. McLoughlin.

In this day and age when affordable housing is such a challenge to come by, it is wonderful that Rogue Valley Habitat for Humanity will dedicate two homes in Medford, Oregon on Saturday at 2PM.
What a rewarding day this will be! Not only for the 14 lives about to change with the fulfillment of the American Dream of Homeownership for these two families.
