tampa bay: Tampa Bay Home to Top Beaches in 2018! - 03/02/18 09:31 AM
Once again Clearwater Beach has been named the #1 beach in
the country by TripAdvisor - only two years after winning the title in 2016 for the first time. Siesta Beach, near Sarasota was named #2 and St Pete Beach ranked 7th. Clearwater Beach, with it's white sugar sand and wide open space is hard to beat - and the beach experience is made even more popular by having the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, the spring training facilities for baseball and soccer, and Dunedin and Clearwater nightlife nearby.  Clearwater Beach was also named "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013 by USA Today readers. For as long as we have … (0 comments)

tampa bay: Tampa Bay is hot and not just the weather! - 12/13/16 02:14 PM
Tampa Bay's real estate market continues to be a hot commodity.
Recent reports indicate that home prices in the Tampa Bay area
are almost back to the levels reached in 2006 before the bubble burst - can that really be true? The latest numbers in Florida
show the median sales price at the end of October at right about $220,000 - a 12% increase from a year ago! Unless interest rates go up, we could see the median sales price surpass the 2006 peak in just a few short months. Couple that with the news that Tampa Bay's house flipping rate … (0 comments)

tampa bay: A Tampa "First"! - 08/10/16 12:12 AM
There are a lot of exciting things going on in the Tampa area these days. One of the newest is the development of Tampa's first "public market hall" in the historic brick Armature Works building- which dates back to 1911 - located along the Hillsborough River just north of downtown Tampa. Think - a farmers market and local main street shops all under one roof - similar to Seattle's Pike Place Market, Eastern Market in Washington, D.C. and The Oxbow Public Market in Napa, California, to name just a few. The Heights Market will be the first of its kind in … (0 comments)

tampa bay: Tampa Bay real estate - healthy, wealthy and wiser. - 07/18/16 04:36 AM
Property values are rebounding in the Tampa Bay area according to a recent article in the Tampa Bay Times. Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties are expected to have their fourth consecutive year of rising taxable property values. These steady increases in tax values is a good indicator that the real estate market has returned to normal after dropping so drastically as a result of the Great Recession.  Property values continue to rise, but at a slower, more steady pace - unlike the giant gains seen in the years proceeding the housing peak in 2007 when the bubble burst. People who were … (1 comments)

tampa bay: Tampa Bay Homes - Supply and Demand - 12/22/15 11:09 PM
The Tampa Bay area has seen home prices rise while inventory has gone way down. But, while single family home sales are flat, condo and townhomes have gone up - 13% in Hillsborough County and 16.6% in Pinellas County, which could have to do with typically lower prices on these type of properties. Since inventory is down, homes currently on the market are selling above asking price, usually with multiple offers. The decision by the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates for the first time in seven years will undoubtedly have an effect on buyers who are on the fence, as well as … (0 comments)
