Gosh, a lot has happened to the face of the ActiveRain since Zillow has purchased Trulia. The only thing that is a constant in this universe is change. Nothing stays the same. While I understand that the whole intent and purpose of the founders of Active Rain was to create a platform for real estate professionals and about real estate I really feel that the platform is migrating away from the original vision.

Yesterday, the Nashville group had their quarterly meet up at Mac and Kate's Café in Franklin Tennessee. It was great to reconnect with Tammy and get an opportunity to meet her husband, Tom. I also had the opportunity to reconnect with Connie Harvey and catch up with her on what is happening in her life.

Spam, Spam, and More Spam... I've never been a fan of SPAM. You know what I mean - the crap that comes in a can. I am even less of a fan of "the other SPAM" - the garbage that comes in your inbox or better yet; the rubbish left on the bottom of your posts. It seems as if here lately, the spammers are out in full force leaving their drivel strewn about, hither and thither in order to promote their self serving agendas or promote some idiotic tomfoolery. Good Morning, ActiveRain...While not my usual Monday morning post, I just thought I'd pop in for a few. I am somewhere between where I left and where I want to be later today. I did the major portion of the trek yesterday while the traffic was light. All was good, save for the typical road construction in Atlanta. Will they EVER have all the roadwork done in Atlanta? Where's My Cookie?Either something must have gone "bump" in the night at ActiveRain headquarters or the cookie monster crept into my computer and ate my cookie. I hate it when I loose my cookies ~ I mean, when someone eats my cookies. I can remember eons ago, one had to submit a graphic for every comment. I can understand spam control, but when you submit 10-30 comments along with graphics, it does get to be a royal pain. I find it both interesting and fascinating when I hop into the time machine and go into the ActiveRain past. Yesterday, Craig Daniels and I were emailing each other as we took a trip down the ActiveRain memory lane. Checking in with the ActiveRain Leaderboard last night, I noticed that one of the original faces to the rain, John Novak, reached the millonaire status, rounding the elite to an even dozen. John's first entry, dates all the way back to August, 2006. Talk about longevity and stick-to-itiveness. I guess we can relate John as the proverbial tortoise in the Rabbit and the Tortoise story. Thankful Thursdays...Looking back, there are many things I am thankful for. Yesterday, was no exception. RE-Barcamp, was held at the Icon which is nestled in the Gulch, in downtown Nashville, TN. Unofficial Monthly Blogging Report...It's that time of the month again. Real estate agents are busy posting the monthly stats on how well their market area fared for the past month. Although I'm not a numbers person, I started tracking daily events mainly out of curiosity. Now some 4 years later, I'm still going through the same routine. Talk about a creature of habit. March's average daily posts were on par with February's. The high volume day was 9 March with 2,207 and low was 26 March with 1259. I did add one slight variation - percentage of participation. How Slow Can You Go? We live in a fast paced society. There are many of that exist on the bleeding edge of speed ~ Faster horses, faster cars, faster internet...
