Well, it looks as if our ‘ol buddy, ‘the Flipper’, has been hard at it playing plumber once again. <sigh> While inspecting a “flipper” in the Nashville, TN real estate market, once again, I good laugh at the expense of the "remodeler". What Would YOU Do? The most critical characteristic of stairs is that every step be the same. Building codes officials should enforce this rule - some do; some don't. On average, falls on stairs kill 4,000 people a year and another 2 million are seriously injured in the United States. Thankful Thursday... Much like the 3 day weekend where I seemed to pack 5 days of activities into 3, this short week seems to be a mirror image - packing a weeks worth of work into 4. Thankful Thursday...In the Thankful Thursday department for this week, I am just that, thankful. After what seemed to be a brutally harsh Winter in more ways than one, the warmth of Spring seems to be bringing with it a thawing in the real estate market here in the middle Tennessee area. (not so) Wordless Wednesday...As if I don't already have enough things to do, I spend much of my down time pondering while tinkering and futzing around in my Koi ponds. As in any garden, there is maintenance. In the cool of the evenings, I don my waders and go about the enjoyable, brainless, mindless tasks of pulling weeds, thinning/dividing and fertilizing plants. Kinda nice, especially after a hectic day, listening to the cacophony of life in the real estate world. Stupid Stuff… Let's face it. It is still a buyer's market. They still sit in the driver's seat with both hands firmly on the wheel that drives this real estate machine. Home inspections are one of the many roads that buyers can go down to either drive down the cost of the property or back out of the purchase altogether. To me, there is something about the glow of the neon, man made lighting, and eerie shadows that beckons me to give it yet another whirl. I have taken many shots of downtown Nashville, TN.
