If you have been sitting on the fence wondering if this is a good time to buy, Prudential Carolinas Realty asked David Knox to prepare this video to explain just how the 1st time home buyers tax credit works and who qualifies!
But please don't hesitate! If your here in the Raleigh area, remember your new home must close by around 2 pm on November 30th in order for it to record at the Wake County Deed of Registers office. If it doesn't you won't qualify for the tax credit - you'll have missed the deadline.

Just when you thought an $8,000 tax credit was a great gift from the federal government here comes Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency!
I just got word that there is another federal tax credit for eligible 1st time home buyers here in North Carolina. It's a tax credit of up to 20% of your annual mortgage interest AND it can be combined with the $8,000 federal tax credit that's in effect until December 2009. it can save you up to $2,000 each year that you live in your new home in taxes.

With the massive stimulus bill signed into law by President Obama it's time for all of us to talk with 1st time home buyers. Couple that 7500 tax credit benefit with the news that the Wall Street Journal put out yesterday saying "the relative, after-tax cost of owning a home dropped to 125% of the cost of renting a home" why would anyone choose to rent IF they can buy? Well it sounds like the once great idea of a $15,000 tax credit to anyone purchasing a home is gone. This morning we all hear exactly what the Economic stimulus package is all about. Yahoo news carried a great recap a couple of hours ago. Complete with a CNBC video of the impact the stimulus will have on the markets with Jeffrey Kleintop, LPL Financial and Mark Vitner, Wachovia Corp.
