Have you been yet?  The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is a Must-See in Raleigh, NC!


Lee and I recently went to check out the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh, NC. 
 
 

 
 
 
Our intention was to spend an hour there to check it out, and then walk to lunch at one of the sweet restaurants down the block...  HOURS later we forced ourselves to disengage and leave the NC Museum of Natural Sciences (on a hunt for DINNER, having completely missed lunch)!

The new amphitheater is due to open with a splash of fun on June 4th - downtown Raleigh NC.
 
The amphitheater is just West of the downtown convention center. Between Dawson, Cabarrus, McDowell & Lenoir Streets
 
<<- amphitheater going inside that fence - right in front of the Shimmer wall - finally we'll be able to enjoy the wall!!
 
 
News is out that the grande opening for the new amphitheater will take place with a line up of local entertainment scheduled:

fun things to do in the triangle: Greek Festival starts tomorrow in Raleigh NC - - 09/17/09 12:08 PM

 
Looking for something fun to do this weekend that includes a taste of Greece?  Look no farther!  The 28th annual Greek Festival begins tomorrow at 5 PM. and runs through Sunday. It's held at the Expo Center, NC State Fairgrounds.
This annual fundraiser by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church now in it's 28th year has become a very popular event here in Raleigh - it attracts thousands of people from all over.  This year part of their proceeds will not only support their church but also will benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Looking for something fun and free to do next week-end?  And support our homeless animals?  Come for a free concert at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park in Cary on April 19th.  This is the first (but hopefully annual) event where you can relax - listen to music, meet some of the animals that are in need of a good home, even learn more about how to support groups that are helping our homeless pets. There's a line up of entertainment all free for you to enjoy Rootzie, The Loners, The Hevy Pets, Arielle Bryant, Bomb Sniffin’ Dawgs

Looking for a fun things to do with the family this Saturday?  Why not take a Santa’s Raleigh Trolley ride and see what’s shaped Raleigh over the past 200 years?  You’ll ride along as Santa searches for one of his missing elves.  Tickets are $10 and reservations are required.

What an absolutely wonderful weekend for the upcoming Susan G. Komen PinkFest 2008 being held at Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre this Sunday from 1-6 PM. The day is predicted to be a bright sunshiny one with temperatures in the mid 70’s – a perfect fall day in the Carolinas.
