Enjoyed the discussions around our post yesterday about Marketing with QR codes. It sparked quite a few questions, emails and calls. So I thought I’d try and answer a few of them this morning...Let’s start at the beginning.... if you have a smartphone you’ll need to download a QR code reader. Just Google ‘QR readers’ and you’ll find lots to look into but here’s a few for the more popular phones... they are easy to use once you have them on your phone - you just hold your phone over the funny looking box and voila - the info (14 comments)
I know that folks like Jeff Turner, whom I really respect, and others have discussed the merits of marketing with QR codes for some time now. I had first heard about them a few years back at one of our REBCRDU, however I wasn’t really too excited about them until I got my DROID X - it was then that they worked for me. Ok, envision this... You order a new phone (you know the one you get to update every 2 years or so with your service provider) but it's on back order and you'll just have to be patient... (Ok I'll admit it - I PRAY for patience because when I was much younger I HAD NONE!!) I left the Verizon store thinking my phone is going to arrive on day X.
