Keeping Up With The Home Staging Industry in 2012

Recently, Melissa Marro wrote a blog, Thinking of Becoming a Home Stager!  It is a great article for new and seasoned stagers to become successful in the industry. 

Since starting our Raleigh Home Staging Business in 2005, the last few years has proven to be our most challanging by far.  We have always been blessed with a growing business, even through a down ecomony and have been able to adpat our business to become more efficient and effective for our clients.  Earlier last year, at the 2011 RESA convention in Las Vegas, the common theme amoung professioanl stagers in attendance was "the phone was ringing off the hook", even though the spring market real estate market was still a few months off.  

For us in Raleigh, NC our Spring market started the first of January the last two years.  We expected to be busy, but looking back we did not expect to more than triple our work load.  I can honestly say that one way to grow your business, is to "hold on by the seat of your pants, adapt to the demand, and out of necessity you could have a fine tuned machine"; but I certainly don't reccomend it, trust me!   

We are consitantly looking for easier ways to become more effienent without comprising quality customer service.  At the RESA convention last year, Melissa Marro & I launched Market Ready Real Estate (MMRE), a software consulting program geared towards Home Stagers.  This year at the 2012 RESA convention the MMRE program won Product of the Year!

2012 is looking to be another great year of growth and I say, "Bring It".  It is very rewarding to be a part of something that has made our workload so much easier.  Recently MMRE even added new features to create a list for vacant stagings and I can't wait to use it!   To read more about the new function of the site check us out at www.MarketReadyRealEstate.com
