trumpet vine: Invasive and Prolific

It is amazing how often we find illustrations of life principles right under our noses.The photo shows a fence which is being totally covered by "trumpet vines."At the first of the year the same fence was basically bland and uninteresting.Today as you can see it is resplendent with lovely greenery accompanied with massive numbers of seed pods. The vine is usually full of coral colored , trumpet shaped flowers.The plant covers a myriad of not so pretty with indescribable natural beauty almost year round. Right now it appears to be concentrating on creating millions of new plants in the future.It reminds … (3 comments)
Our side yard has a double fence between us and the adjoining church parking lot.
The couple of feet between the fences is thickly vegetated with bamboo and this colorful vine.
This time of year the profusion of flowers drapes the fence and makes it downright pretty.
It is lovely when natural beauty makes something ordinary into something visually special.
Another lesson in being sure that what we see IS what is real. This fence is in various degrees of decline. No one including us is likely to note the condition while looking at it … (2 comments)
