waller: Faith of our fathers.... - 09/16/12 12:23 PM

Our market area includes several small communities.  Each of them has at least one small antique church.

Many demominations are represented, and all of these antiques have a lot of charm.  Obviously these were built with great craftsmanship.

Each one is surrounded with beautiful old trees.  Each also evoke feelings of love and memories of evenings spent with family and friends.

In a day of mega congregations seeing these 100 year old treasures scattered about the countryside is a reminder of how much our communities and values were built.

So much of our today's have been … (0 comments)

waller: Fresh Pickings Market Tomball TX - 06/06/11 01:25 PM

After running the roads around Tomball and Rosehill since 1978 it is always a thrill to find something new and different! What a find it is too! Fresh, beautiful fruits and vegetables uniquely displayed among ceramic and wood art or yard art...

On FM 2920 just west of “Beautiful Downtown Tomball is “Fresh Pickings Farm & Garden Market.” It is next door to a Mexican restaurant named “Julios.” Convenient to Tomball, Rosehill, Cypress, Hockley and Magnolia, there is nothing else quite like it anywhere nearby, or that shows as much potential to be a super source for special shopping.  … (0 comments)

waller: Holey, Holey, Holey! - 09/21/10 11:28 AM

Way out west from Downtown Houston is a road with a personality all its own. We do not know for sure, but we feel that it is highly unlikely that the area has any crime problems. This is due to the fact that this gravel road has serious holes that are large enough to lose a Volkswagen in. Any attempt at any speed going down “Binford Circle” would be to threaten your front end suspension with complete annihalation.

Binford Circle comes off of Binford Road, which comes off of FM 2920 just before you get to Hwy 290. … (1 comments)

Do you prefer tall pines or spreading oaks?  Tomball has the tall pines and a little further north Montgomery Texas has a mixture of pines and oaks and over towared Magnolia there are a lot more of the huge oaks.  It makes you just want to get out and drive the country.
What style does your … (0 comments)

waller: If you love Wildlife, Birds and nature in general... Northwest Houston is the place to be! - 05/31/09 01:23 PM
The Northwest area of Houston from FM1960 out through Tomball, Pinehurst, Magnolia, Rosehill and Waller and points further north is rich in the quality of wildlife and birds that all you nature lovers are sure to find quite desirable and thereby find this area to be a terrific place to live and grow your family.  Apparently the Hwy 249 corridor is on the migratory path as the birds move north and south.  My goodness just in our little backyard in Prestonwood Forest we have had Mexican ducks on several occasions, four different variety of dove, a goldfinch, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Sparrows, Blackcap Chickadees, … (0 comments)
