hawaii association of realtors: Active Rain Was at the PacRim 2008 - 09/30/08 05:33 PM
PacRim 2008 is the Hawaii Association of REALTORS® annual conference. This year it was held at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on September 18 & 19, 2008. This year the internet was front and center. Social networking and blogging, including Active Rain were featured topics at this convention. Bob Stewart the Community Evangelist from Active Rain was the speaker at one of the breakout sessions (I did not make that up. It is actually on his business card). On several of my past posts on professional behavior I brought up designations. A majority of responses agreed in the wisdom of getting them. There were also more than a couple of folks, some brand new and some seasoned veterans who disagreed with the need to get them. I thought I would write about my personal experience with the two designations I have starting with the lesser one the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute). hawaii association of realtors: The New Purchase Contract Will Replace the Hawaii DROA - 05/27/07 04:24 PM
Beginning in June we will be seeing a new contract for the purchase of homes in Hawaii. Our contract was called the DROA (Deposit, Receipt, Offer and Acceptance). It has been called a DROA for as long as any of us have been around. When I first moved to Hawaii it was a single page that was two sided. The front was the contract and the back was all the fine type. Today the DROA is 12 pages long plus addendums. What will be different about the new purchase contract?
