I grew up in a Jewish/Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn New York. I would attend worship services Friday night and they were something to behold. I was never one for religion, but this ceremony moved me and still does.... JEWISH PROCEDURES Well, you have to wear a yarmulke which is a beanie type hat. Then, you put on a religious shawl, add one prayer book and you are set to participate. The cantor starts out by singing his readings to the congregation.
