My forgetting is almost down to non-existent. That's right! I am able to remember all things and get them done no problem thanks to the tools available today in the tech world. No longer do I reach, search and seek out paper and pen. NO. I now lift my smart phone to my lips and dictate my wants & needs. Amazing DEVICES I use the countdown timer for cooking, various monitoring chores and the calendar just goes off all day reminding me of various must do's and go's faithfully. I remember (pun to be) when I first heard about the method to help ones self recall something that they had to do. It was so simple too. You just take a piece of string and tie it to your finger. That's it! The idea is that when you see or feel the string, it reminds you of what you didn't want to forget. What could be easier than this? I think back to my youthful years where I had the ability to absorb and then respond as necessary to changes, growth and life in general almost instantly. When it came to having a laundry list, which is daily things to be done, I would just put down a word or two and that would jog me into the day's action. However, as I matured and my challenges became more complex, more detail was required PUNCH...OR TO DO LISTS No longer was it sufficient to make a small word note. I remember thinking about Xmas in the earlier part of the year. I didn't spend too much time on those thoughts and went about my affairs both personal and professional going from day to day. What people figure out who have lived long enough is the "brevity" of life. At some point, you realize that time is real and constantly moving and it takes you with it too IS TIME PASSING OR ARE WE PASSING? Thank God that the passage of time subtle and not disruptive.
