commenting: WHY PEOPLE MAY NOT READ YOUR POST - 03/19/14 12:54 AM
I remember taking an essay writing class in college and the professor got right to the point stating that you better get good at this class because all of college is about writing essays. He had my full attention because I had 2.5 years of college ahead of me and this was a MUST KNOW.
THE HOW AND THE WHY
Every class you take says the professor will have a written assignment requirement that is part of your grade. Learning to essay write effectively and efficiently is then necessary and paramount to your desired results better known as your grade average. Then, the … (13 comments)

commenting: TELL GETTY TO GET GOING - 03/15/14 04:40 AM
Getty will GET you is what I am hearing. This supports what I have been saying for years now and that is: Now that the public has the power to comment, blog and post, companies, people and organizations cannot pull the wool over peoples eyes and GET (pun) away with it
DUCKS AND LIZARDS?
We have learned from Roy the master photographer and active ACTIVERAINER's posting that GETTY is not what they appear to be and they look, act and walk like a duck like but they really have lizard type qualities. This is not my opinion but those that have reported … (16 comments)

commenting: I TOILED, SWEATED, BLOGGED, COMMENTED AND FINALLY - 03/10/14 10:09 AM
Made it into the top ten 10 in California. I am among the greats now. The California Hall of Famers and die hard ActiveRainers who take their ranking seriously. I also want to have a pause of respect right now as you read this for all the ones I passed on the way here. Begin the pause now
PAUSING IN REMEMBRANCE
I knew those I passed and had fond memories as I suited up, fastened my seat belt and engaged my blogging warp drive. As I went past one after the other, there were some that I saluted because they were worthy of … (12 comments)

commenting: I SHOULDNT HAVE SEEN THIS ON ACTIVERAIN - 02/21/14 10:08 AM
I read a post last week where comments came in and someone didn't agree with the original poster. Well that's not unusual however they chose to say so in pretty certain terms but still acceptable. Where it broke down is when the original poster over-reacted to that commenting and let loose
DON'T PULL THAT TRIGGER
If this was a a face to face to so be it. Family argument is a good arena to get it done as well. But when we are live on the air blogging one must show restraint of some sort to refrain from letting loose. I know all systems are saying … (99 comments)

commenting: WE ALREADY COVERED IT ON ACTIVERAIN - 02/05/14 04:39 AM
I like to keep myself up to date and current and have many sources to accomplish that. I have noticed lately that with all the sources I have access to, the data, information and market "must knows" that are important I already know about. HOW? We covered it on ACTIVERAIN
ACTIVERAIN-GAME
Article after article which are all good and pertinent goes on to report what I have already covered days ago sometimes weeks ago on ACTIVERAIN. I have been monitoring this for some time. Have you had this experience?

commenting: LENN HARLEY SAYS: CALL THE CORONER IF YOU DONT SEE ME COMMENTING - 01/09/14 06:45 AM
Lenn Harley made this remark in a comment and I couldn't help but laugh out loud. First off, it is from a dedicated blogger and comment-er who is expressing the depth of her commitment to posting, commenting and blogging...
If you don't hear from me, "call the coroner" makes the point that nothing short of death will interfere with her passions. I can relate a little here. I recall doing a post 2 years ago where I stated they would find me at the key board slumped over but of course LOGGED IN to ActiveRain
YOU PONDER LONG AFTER LOGGING OUT
This post is proof that what … (5 comments)

commenting: THIS POST PURELY FOR RANKING & ACTIVERAIN POINT MANEUVERS - 01/04/14 12:14 AM
I like moving up in rank. It is not easy to do here in California as the Rainmakers here make so much thunder and lightning that it is no easy task to move up. However, if you catch someone who has taken a vacation or a long nap, you get with some blogging moves...to up your rank
ALL SYSTEMS PREAPRE FOR LAUNCH
Such is the case here. An opportunity existS where I can move up so here I go. I am only doing what we all do but don't talk about about. Yet ranking remains relevant for its boasting rights and there is … (21 comments)

commenting: ONE MILLION REASONS TO BLOG IN ACTIVERAIN - 12/01/13 08:20 AM
I found ACTIVERAIN one day. I reviewed it not understanding it and made a note to come back when I had more time. With me, making a note or bookmarking is literal. I only go toward things that capture my attention in a certain way. AR qualified. On my return visit, I decided to fill out some areas and hardly noticed the movement as it gently prompted me forward. It reminded me of an airport
FIND THE TERMINAL
You enter the area and then the parking section and on to the entrance and then into the terminal. Then, you wonder past different … (76 comments)

commenting: RANDOM ACTIVERAIN THOUGHTS - 11/28/13 02:32 AM
Just some random thoughts and observations that make up a post and who knows where it may lead. I find logging in to ACTIVERAIN pleasurable and productive. The changes are welcomed and some need to hit the ground running. I suppose it is an ongoing activity as we are all tweaking while we go
1. The scrolling of the spell-check choices. You hit spell check. Then, this little box appears with choices. The old one had me scrolling down 2-3 pages off the screen on some words. I even stopped using those words because I didn't want to scroll down to correct them...Now, the … (6 comments)

commenting: YOUR POINTS ARE TALKING - 11/24/13 07:12 AM
Its true...Those ACTIVERAIN points come from participating online in ACTIVERAIN. I am thinking of all those video games when they first came out and how they discovered it built up the eye to hand coordination for kids and even activated their brain centers too. So it is with engaging ACTIVERAIN as it also will engage you too
POINTS SPEAK is an ActiveRain language
You see when accumulating points, it is because of your involvement and the different things that you are doing. While you are involving and doing, you are learning. As your learn, you are given points and the whole … (11 comments)

commenting: DEATH BY BLOGGING! THE WEAPON? A 30-30 GOT EM - 11/20/13 12:05 AM
I am noticing some weary posts via well meaning posters that are making a valiant effort to keep to the contest of 30 posts in 30 days going. It is not so much that people who are doing this love posting. NO. It is the fact that you get 5000 points for doing so. Lets be richie frank here. Trying to to get 5000 points is one SWELL carrot to any RAINMAKER
WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?
5000 points...5000 of them! All come marching to you for so little in return. I mean after-all, you are going to be blogging anyway … (18 comments)

commenting: REMEMBERING RAINMAKERS OF DAYS GONE BY - 11/10/13 07:01 AM
A moment to thank and even fondly recall some of the bloggers, posters and commenters that used to participate every day and leave some of their selves behind everywhere they went. There are quite a few that I remember and remain better off just for the interaction at the time. They were strong daily inputers making their marks and then for whatever reasons...they moved on
MANY REASONS
Sometimes ill health comes a calling and one must answer. But I remember you. Other times its finances, but I remember you. Then, there is the change of business plans or a different approach to making your business … (11 comments)

commenting: I THINK I WILL READ THIS POST - 11/07/13 11:44 PM
I am randomly surfing and something catches my traveling eye. I am an interactive person so with haste I CLICK and enter into the world of this eye catching post. Its like turning onto a street on your way to somewhere. I travel, I observe, I find myself interested and then, I get this clear prompt, an inner nudge to respond to what I am seeing. BAM! I hit a brick wall and notice...COMMENTS DISABLED
WOULD YOU STILL LOVE ME
Now here is a good question to ponder. While I was surfing, and at the time some post or blog caught my eye … (10 comments)

commenting: ACTIVERAIN FUN OR FAME - 11/07/13 03:00 AM
It matures. It gets better. It even exceeds ones expectation if you interact too. If you just came here to learn, to read and ask questions, you walk away a winner. That bares repeating. WALK AWAY A WINNER. If you start posting and commenting, then you have opened yourself up to a whole new world. A cyberspace world that is becoming a real world even competing with real life.
IT'S A WAY OF LIFE
I mean I know people that spend 12-16 hours or more online for both personal and business purposes. That is their life...their cyberspace life. If being online is here … (11 comments)

commenting: BLOGGING IDEAS ARE AS SIMPLE AS LOOKING AROUND THE ROOM - 10/29/13 04:50 AM
It is easy to share an experience, a business transaction and a personal story. Everyone does it. In between times however, blog pick-ins can become a little thin and far and few between. We all have visited the valley of the lost blog and suffered of post thirst while there. However, what if I told you that all you had to do is just look around the room you are in and there is a post waiting for you
I'M LOOKING AROUND NOW

commenting: HOW FAST WAS I GOING OH ABOUT 60 BPM (blogs per month) - 10/27/13 02:08 AM
Blogs per month or BPM may just be the new "buzz" word. What are you up to now a days? Oh, about 30 BPM but I have had her up to 50 BPM and it held fine. The phone rang, the awareness increased and my electronic business cards deemed posts and comments were given out and planted. The good news is there is no cap on BPM. The bad news is who has that type of time?
SPEND TIME WISELY
Life is a window. A brief outlook for a short period of time on how we see and interact as we journey. Time … (6 comments)

commenting: GOOGLE IT'S LIKE A CRYSTAL BALL - 10/25/13 08:49 AM
I am always monitoring my online activities online. I GOOGLE myself and check the amount of hits, positioning and subject matter that comes up just like if someone was visiting with me for the first time and would do the same thing. Perhaps they are investigating, considering my services, wanting to research my subjects or profession or buy one of my PEARLS SERIES of books. The point is that the GOOGLE search turns up...WHO YOU ARE
MANY WAYS TO SEARCH YOU OUT
There are many ways to trigger a search too. We know to use the name, the first, the last nick names, name of … (11 comments)

commenting: I'M JUST PASSING THROUGH - 10/21/13 12:45 AM
Most of the time when I blog or post, it is with the intention of getting out my marketing to the cyber world and onto the Internet. ActiveRain has been my launch vehicle for this for that last three years and it has proved successful. The feedback and input as well as the responses come to me from all over the world...Yes amazing isn't it?
ANALYTICS
I marvel when I run GOOGLE analytic and see how and where as well as why my posts were hit. Israel? Ecuador? Philippines? Canada and well throughout the world. Different articles are accessed to read and respond to. Interesting to … (7 comments)

commenting: ACTIVERAIN OH POOP! - 09/27/13 05:14 AM
I was walking along minding my own business. It was a beautiful day, sun was out and I was on top of a moutain with winding trails and steep roads. I had gotten an ACTIVERAIN feature and I like checking on my iphone who commented plus anyone else trying to get ahold of me when all of a sudden....I
STEPPED INTO SOMETHING
I didnt notice it at the time. WHY? I was too busy reading and interacting with my iphone and enjoying the FEATURE. I continued hiking on my way until I kept smelling something. Everywhere I went, I smelled it. … (7 comments)

commenting: BLOGGING DEFINED: EXPERIENCE OBSERVATIONS and OPINIONS - 09/25/13 12:38 AM
When I remind bloggers that it is so easy to form a post and then launch it, they do and then they do it again. They discover that they always knew how to but believed other wise. It is the same principal when learning to ride a bike. Its knowledge for life and if you haven't rode a bike for a while, when you get on one all you need to know and knew...kicks right in. Blogging is just speaking
start here....ANYTHING GOES
As to what to speak about? Well when you meet someone you don't know what to speak about … (31 comments)
