consumer confidence: MIND OVER MATTER? (the marketplace) - 06/06/17 07:07 AM
You don't mind and it don't matter was first introduced to me by someone saying with a straight face: Use "mind over matter" of which I quickly asked what's that? I was interested and had never heard that approach before. Simply put: you don't mind and it don't matter! After cracking the joke, I realized there is more to this than meets the eye. In fact, it is quite accurate and introduces the concept of.....
OBJECTIVITY
We tend to over-engage in certain subjects that we "want" to have happen badly. Perhaps we are motivated by necessity, love, want, lust, greed, and a host of so many … (5 comments)

consumer confidence: HOPE EVERYTHING REAL ESTATE TURNS OUT? - 05/30/15 11:53 PM
When dealing with Real Estate which means that you are now getting ready to either come into a large sum of money or spend a large amount and the dynamics make it clear that it is not a do-over situation nor can one be rushed, then HOPE is not the best approach here. We need instead... a specific RESULT
WELL-MEANING
Meaning well? Everyone means well at some point but that is subjective. We need to land or take-off deliberately and specifically and that requires know how, experience and savvy. When someone boo-boo's and they apologize, the words...I didn't mean what I said or for this to happen are … (6 comments)

consumer confidence: BANK OF AMERICA FORGIVES SECONDS? - 11/16/12 10:40 PM
If you wait long enough and stall, change in the industry comes along and what was the rule back then gets changed to the new rule now. The trick is to catch the new rule or is it to not catch it? People who are paying off their mortgages as agreed continue to wonder why people who don't are being forgiven
WHY THE MIXED MESSAGE?
This mixed message is not good for the morale of the consumer, borrower and the Real Estate industry at large. It even affects the economy making people cautious, hesitant and doubtful as to what to do … (5 comments)

consumer confidence: BOOM TO BUST TO BROKEN ITS NOT THE ECONOMY STUPID ITS THE MORALE - 08/24/11 02:16 PM
We know what a boom is remember? Go back a few years when everyone was scurrying to buy a home at any price whether you qualified or not. Loan officers were telling agents bring in a live body and we can issue a loan commitment. Agents complied and Real Estate couldn't change hands fast enough
EVERYTHING PROSPERED AT A RAPID PACE
Moving van business prospered. Furniture stores were selling their goods. Pools were being built along with BBQ's and people were shopping for boats, vacations jet skis and...? Then, the piper appeared and wanted payment and nobody had it to give. … (4 comments)

consumer confidence: SELLERS AND THEIR AGENTS NEED A GOOD INSPECTION TOO - 08/21/11 06:11 AM
I like to know where I stand in everything I do. Everybody does. Now, add enormous amounts of money to that concept and you have my full attention as a Licensed Real Estate agent representing clients and their interest when Real Estate transacting. As a sellers agent, I need to know what is wrong or what needs to be addressed or not addressed. I need to know and want to know
FIDUCIARY AND FAIR AND HONEST DEALING
Not just for disclosure sake either. I have a fiduciary obligation to protect my client and their interest that's for sure. This is sacred … (4 comments)

consumer confidence: Congress Wont Extend Unemployment...? Let's All Take Turns Going Without - 12/02/10 05:44 AM
What is with that...? The subject requires no IQ what so ever. You don't even have to meet on the subject. Millions of people are relying on unemployment until job grow is spurred on. Until then, this is the only source of income for many.
By now, you may realize how everything is interconnected to everything else. It is complex and one something fails, it pulls down several other things at the same time...
People need income to pay bills...Bills go to pay for services and for people who supply those services.
Retailers across the Nation are depending on spending to … (8 comments)

consumer confidence: 2011....we need to put the "CAN" back into...... Ameri-CAN - 11/29/10 08:06 AM
I plan to take the New Year and make it do something...well NEW. I thought that is how it works. Out with old, in with New. I am reading miscellaneous articles that are saying otherwise. That makes me reflect on our current leadership...and wonder
I read and heard that gains in unemployment will not take place. Some are predicting another 2 years. I don't know about that, I just know that it wont pick-up right away. Now that's a problem needs immediate attention
I read and heard that Real Estate is expecting any gains until 2012 or more. Until then, depreciating … (6 comments)
