court: I HATE GETTING A TICKET NO EXCEPTIONS - 04/22/13 01:11 PM
There is something unfair afoot in regards to getting a ticket now a days. First, there is the economy that just makes any additional expenses a burden. Then there is the fact that you got caught right or wrong...then, it just gets worse from there. Now we all want to believe it promotes for a better community BUSINESS MATH Now,let's be frank about this. Police do not give tickets just to create a better society or a place where we can all proposer and live harmoniously. No, it is a revenue generator and cities are like businesses. They need income because (12 comments)
court: ATTORNEY INVOLVEMENT GETS THINGS DONE - 01/13/13 07:50 AM
Today more than ever, legal representation in business is a must even in the mundane and normal things we may encounter. First of all, the legal system is very much apart of our everyday lives and is in most everything we do. Haven't you seen the small print on just about everything everywhere? That is what comes home to roost in a crunch CONTRACT REVIEW Attorneys are not that expensive and should be used liberally when conducting any important business. WHY? Because they are taking seriously by everyone and bring disclosure and clarity to the transaction. Often times people tend to (2 comments)
court: PROPERTY MANAGEMENT TRUE TALES..case of the little ole lady.. part 2 - 09/11/12 01:37 PM
In part one, we explain how a little ole grandma who could melt your heart applied to rent a property from us many many years ago and succeeded. When the rent became due, we then found out that this sweet little lady is not what she appeared to be. Instead of giving her an Oscar for her performance, we filed an eviction procedure and this is what followed.... HIDE AND SEEK We spent a good week in trying to serve her. She would hide in the unit and we could hear her and others confirmed she was home. She would not answer the door and all windows (12 comments)
court: PROPERTY MANAGEMENT TRUE TALES..case of the little ole lady.. part 1 - 09/11/12 01:35 PM
Many years ago, I rented out a small little rear house unit at a time when running credit, background or reference checks was less mature and available. It was to a sweet, harmless, everyone's mom and grand mom older woman who was retired and on social security income. She had the move-in fees and was likable, cooperative and able to perform. It was just her, no kids or pets and statistically people like this usually stay forever FIRST TIME RENT DUE TELLS THE STORY What could go wrong? At that time, it happened to be a renters market and getting your vacancy rate down and the (3 comments)
court: CHIPPED IN TO MAKE IT HAPPEN GOT MY MONEY BACK NO PROBLEM - 05/10/12 01:56 PM
Many years ago, I was partnered with two very creative people who were good at buying land, developing it and then selling the product. It was lucrative and my two partners were seasoned and one was second generation. We became aware of a potential six home site in a prime area that was just sitting. We inquired and went to work to see what we could be done LITIGATION WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT The current owner was in litigation with three (3) other attorneys and that is why this property just sat and sat. I contacted the current owner and he was (48 comments)
court: VISITING A BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDING IS INFORMATIVE - 03/26/12 10:07 AM
I recently attended a bankruptcy court hearing where people are declaring a Chapter 7 application. This is where you ask that your debts be written offer entirely and you have a fresh start. The meeting called a Trustee hearing was very educational and its free. Its like taking a college course if you will. PEOPLE AND PROBLEMS Lots of people showed up from all walks of life and circumstances. Some had attorneys and some handled it themselves. I was also surprised to hear that many had done this before and more than once too. CREDTIORS MAY SHOW UP At this meeting, (0 comments)
