It is amazing this subject as to how many people DO NOT KNOW how to do so. Pro-activity escapes them and they handle this subject in a reaction mode also known as living paycheck to paycheck at some point. I blame no one because unless this dynamic is taught or your common sense picks it up, you may not know better. I was amazed to find out that four UNAUTHORIZED transactions were attempted on my wife's credit card and three of them were blocked from going through. The fourth went through and none of it was ours. This happened all of a sudden to us out of the blue. Charges were attempted from three different cities and one out of state. The amounts were petty on three of them, but the fourth one was substantial THEY DON'T KNOW? I remember when online shopping was introduced many moons ago. There was absolutely NO WAY I was going to shop online. There were so many concrete beliefs in place that I thought were insurmountable. Take giving your credit number and what goes with it. You didn't want that "out there" in cyberspace. That belongs in your wallet or purse and only comes out under strict supervision THE FIVE SENSES Then, I want to touch it. IT was whatever I was buying. It has come to my attention lately when I am out shopping anywhere that I see more and more women leaving their purses unattended. Some have an awareness of this, but quickly lose it when they find an item of interest while shopping. Others have no clue believing that the store offers security and they may shop with confidence.... I have not only seen purses neglected in shopping carts, but open with wallets right there on the surface. Often I point this out to people. Reactions and comments received back as follows.... It is simple...You use these pieces of paper to communicate with people and when a big smile crosses over their face...Well the money is talking. Your credit card can speak money fluently too. Used to be that your house talked using the ancient ways of equity and appreciation to make itself known. We forget how we got here to this economy to begin with. Credit got us here. Selling something to someone who can't pay for it NOW was a false sign of things flourishing because on the back end, if someone didn't pay, then it wasn't a real sale to begin with. Our capitalistic society doesn't not promote being conservative or cautious. Quite the contrary, it supports irresponsibility, consumerism and live now pay later dynamics.
