despair: PATIENCE PONDER THIS - 05/05/19 06:47 AM
What most people don't know is that another word for patience is love. The word "patience" substitutes nicely wherever the word "love" is used. To get an even better understanding of this reverse the thinking analogy. Impatience is the lack of love in that moment. When your cup of patience has run dry, love has all but poured out
WE DON'T CHOOSE IMPATIENCE
Stop and think about this. We don't say to ourselves I am not going to love or be impatient today. That is a foreign thought. What happens is that whatever patience we have or think we have is called upon and we find … (7 comments)

despair: LIFE IS GOOD - 01/12/19 09:27 AM
In the world of yes, no and I don't know, where simplicity and honesty reside, if you ask the question......Is life good?.......the answer can only be yes. How can you argue otherwise? Well dark forces give it a try but make no sense! They try to convince you to accept their fate. Your destiny is brighter, abundant and full of positive surprises. Let no one steal this from you. Our destiny leads to wonder and awe by default
Our circumstances that change from day to day, week to week or even yearly should not reflect on or change this answer in any way. … (4 comments)

despair: BREACH OF CONTRACT (the feelings part) - 11/19/15 11:26 PM
We just went through a vicious Real Estate cycle across the United States where tens of millions of people had to breach their agreement to pay their mortgages. The joy, well-being and good all around feeling of having a home turned into a nightmare and went in the opposite direction for many. That pain runs deep, long and for some over-whelming
REAL LIFE
Long before it happens, the borrower is in a stressful state of mind that if not corrected, escalates into a sever, negative, life-changing event filled with agony, gloom and despair not in that order. No one does business to breach. Life plays a part … (3 comments)

despair: MANY GO HUNGRY SAYS PROPERTY MANAGER - 09/09/15 05:39 AM
When I was managing properties in the peak of its day then decades ago, I had the good fortune to manage in well to do, specialty areas like near the beach or high in demand residential pockets as well as the other end of the spectrum like properties in ghettos, blighted areas where the poor lived....
RICH TO POOR DAILY
I used to go from contrast to contrast daily for years and it does help one appreciate the bigger life picture as well as educate and inform what is really reality and not just what is limited to your personal sight & sound … (4 comments)

despair: CHANGE YOUR M O - 08/02/15 05:51 AM
I forgot to put in those little periods after the M & the O thus it would look like this M.O. I am not referring to one of the three stooges (MOE) nor am I using slang for the word more (mo). NO. What I am saying is MODUS OPERANDI. Defined it means a particular way of doing something especially one that is a characteristic or well established
TAKE FURTHER ACTION
This could apply to your business plan, method of operation, procedures or thinking systems also known as beliefs. Why would we do this? Well, if things are not going according to your plans, … (4 comments)

despair: WHAT FORECLOSURE MEANT TO ME - 07/12/15 12:02 AM
Some poor guy, a family no less was visited by hard times and then over-whelmed. What finally did it, what took them underwater and didn't let go is different for them all but the constant was they are losing the home, they are going down fast, and those families braced themselves best they could. Pain & suffering is to follow
UP CLOSE
I don't want to get into the ethics or obligation part of the subject matter and I admit it is relevant. Yes, to paying your bills and keeping promises...I get it. All I am saying is to see another human being enter into a … (9 comments)

despair: TOO LOW TOO LONG FED RATE SPEAKS - 05/24/15 10:57 AM
Normally when the rate to borrow money is lowered, it produces a run to do so. The premise is to take that money and invest it to make money and the wheels of finance and the worlds of capitalism keep plugging along. However, when someone who dives under water holding their breath stays down and doesn't surface soon, they are considered to be in a state of potential drowning.
RECOVERY?
Rates are lowered to jump-start and make activity take place. The fact that the rates are being held down for this length of time tells us the economy is not steady, predictable or in a state of … (7 comments)

despair: GOING POSTAL IS NO JOKE - 05/17/15 11:46 PM
People go nuts and many times for no reason at all. I am not interested as to why they lost it, but only how their losing it crosses over into societies worlds. Everyone from teenagers to terrorists can now act out their inner turmoil and get instant relief by hurting others? Acting out what doesn't work wont work. So pause a little please
ANGER DRIVES THE BUS

despair: THE WORD FREE BRINGS OUT THE NEEDY - 12/23/14 11:04 PM
I had a promotion going where if you buy one PEARLS SERIES of books, you get another FREE. It was a big beautiful sign that was made to catch the attention of a person from as much as 6 feet away. Your eyes lock on the words FREE and then it is my hope that you come toward the source and we do good business....NOT!
SO MANY IN WANT AND NEED
Instead, the word FREE attracted so many homeless, down and outers, people barely getting by and those looking for a hand-out that we had to withdraw the sign after a couple of days. … (14 comments)

despair: YOU JUST NEVER KNOW - 11/20/14 04:39 AM
You see people everywhere and they are public relating who they are and what they do in their coming and going and you never know what is really going on in someone even when you engage them. We forget that trust, vulnerability, permission and outright personal sharing is something people just don't give up to anyone
THE LIFE TRAVEL COMES WITH PAIN
Be aware of this however. The person who you are passing by, talking to and looking at... is carrying around issues. WHAT ISSUES? Life as we know it and then the personal bumps, valleys, injuries and hurts that come from being … (5 comments)

despair: SHARE THIS BREAD WITH OTHERS - 08/04/14 02:13 AM
HOPE...the poor mans bread as it is often called. How many times have we eaten of this and still do even all day long. Prepare for the worst but HOPE for the best? I HOPE so. What person alive has not eaten his share and will eat more until they have arrived at their place of satisfaction. Until then, hoping helps with coping... and it is wise to 'snack' on this.
TAKE AWAY HOPE AND YOU MOPE
Word of caution to others who dismiss this or take it from someone else. Hope sustains people and allows them to carry on under less than favorable conditions. It … (4 comments)

despair: ONE IMMIGRANT TELLS ANOTHER WHO TELLS ANOTHER - 07/11/14 03:25 AM
The "buzz" never fails to make the rounds regardless of the subject matter. How to cross the border never fails to interest those tens of thousands who want to do so. They come with creative ways and we counter them as soon as we find out about it. Its like an arms race which never ends. The latest is as follows...
SEND ALL YOUR KIDS TO THE USA...
The word got out among st those that are not citizens that if your under age kid makes it into the United States anyway he can, the USA has to feed them, clothe them, give them … (4 comments)

despair: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HOLD THINGS IN - 02/23/14 05:41 AM
It is called withhold. You keep something inside of you that shouldn't be kept. If you keep adding to it, you bring stress inside of you along with the mis-deed. Eventually, your body will rebel with a sickness which is its way of speaking. Its time to re-assess
THE HEAVY LOAD
We were not created to hold things in. We are vessels of transport not storage containers as the world would have you believe. Being weighed down with excessive thinking and deed causes us to sink more into a container type existence. Why put a limit on yourself like that?

despair: I BECAME A MALE RAPE COUNSELOR part four - 09/24/13 01:31 AM
The subject is daunting but real and I recommend you visit the four part post if you haven't already. Trauma of any kind is no respecter of persons and people hurt all the same way...within and without and any help one can offer or render to another in need can go a long way toward recovery. Help is what we are all here for and none of us got to where we are without the help of another

despair: I BECAME A MALE RAPE COUNSELOR part three - 09/24/13 01:29 AM
I shared in parts one and two what it is like to volunteer and lend a hand in something that certainly requires help and no amount of training can prepare you for it. It is recommended that your read parts one and two. This part will focus on some things that I ran into during my volunteer work as a rape counselor and being on call 24/7 days a week for 2 years

I remember getting a call and they usually came in to me between 1- 3 am to report to the large public community hospital that was well known. … (2 comments)

despair: I BECAME A MALE RAPE COUNSELOR part two - 09/24/13 01:27 AM
In part one, I shared how I got started and why and then a little about the training and then what you run into. Very hard to put into words what takes place because this subject is something that is best explained while being lived. It is beyond words and feelings and when it is not, it is emotionally overwhelming and gut wrenching
REPRESSION OF THE RAPE IS WORSE
I would get calls usually in the wee hours of the morning between 1- 3 a.m. Nighttime's is when this type of activity surfaces more and that is just from what is reported. You … (0 comments)

despair: I BECAME A MALE RAPE COUNSELOR part one - 09/24/13 01:26 AM
I thought the word "MALE" rape counselor appropriate because it was unheard of when I did this back in the eighties. I was in Real Estate and thriving at the time. Money was coming in from three solid businesses and I could not spend it fast enough. Had the cars, the home, income property and the goodies and I seriously thought...How can I give back as a way of saying thank you so much for this success
HM-MM...WHAT'S THIS?
Well I heard they needed rape counselors badly for one of the cities I worked in and I inquired. The rape counseling services were … (6 comments)

despair: STEP BY STEP YOU WILL PREVAIL - 08/21/13 01:00 AM
I once visited a place called Boyden's cave. You take this tour and go deep within the cave and then when you are well within the cave the tour guide says this:: "The man who discovered this cave had to crawl out of here and in pitch darkness as his lamps failed. To help you experience what it was like, we will now shut all our lights". They did and we did.... and for the next few moments, terror, confusion and fear filled the group
YOU COULD SMELL FEAR
Well we all had the same reaction in common however Mr. Boyden … (6 comments)

despair: RECORDS KEPT ON PEOPLE FOR LIFE - 08/17/13 12:35 AM
When I was in college a few short years ago, I did a paper on the subject matter of the post. I found at that time that nearly 2/3 of the people who live in the United States had a record of some sort. Driving record, credit record and criminal records included. Some of those records are with you for life and the people who carry that burden suffer silently and live life in the shadows as a rule. Many came up to me in class "marked" wanting help

despair: WHAT DOESNT KILL ME HAD ITS CHANCE - 09/17/12 07:57 AM
All though-out our history, mankind has come against some formidable circumstances that if handled correctly end in a lesson of perseverance and reward. We know that you you cannot make a gain unless you take a risk, but some people have had circumstances thrust on them and there is growth but not for asking....What happens is different for all of us too
CHALLENGES ARE GROWTH FOOD
